In a small crowded city, there lived a poor young man named Adam. He wasn’t famous, rich, or powerful — just an ordinary man struggling to survive. Every morning he woke up early, worked all day, and returned home tired, wondering why life seemed easier for others.

One day, while walking through a narrow street, Adam saw an old shop he had never noticed before. The sign above the door read:

"TIME FOR SALE — ENTER IF YOU DARE"

Adam laughed at first.

"Who sells time?" he whispered.

But curiosity pulled him inside.

Inside the shop sat an old man with silver hair and calm eyes. The walls were filled with clocks — big clocks, small clocks, broken clocks, and clocks that moved backward.

The old man smiled.

"Welcome, Adam. I've been waiting for you."

Adam froze.

"How do you know my name?" he asked.

The old man ignored the question.

"Tell me, what do you want most in life?"

Adam didn’t hesitate.

"I want money. A lot of money. I’m tired of being poor."

The old man nodded slowly.

"I can give you money," he said quietly, "but you must give me something in return."

Adam felt excited.

"What do you want?"

The old man leaned forward.

"Your time."

Adam laughed again.

"Take it! I waste time every day anyway."

The old man pulled out a golden contract.

"For every year of your life, I will give you $100,000."

Adam’s heart raced.

"This is easy," he thought.

"Take five years," Adam said confidently.

The old man signed the paper.

Suddenly, Adam felt dizzy. His body weakened for a moment… then everything returned to normal.

The old man handed him a bag full of cash.

"You have sold five years of your life."

Adam walked out smiling. He was rich now.

The First Success

With the money, Adam started a business. Within months, his life changed. He bought a big house, a luxury car, and expensive clothes.

People who once ignored him now respected him.

But Adam wanted more.

So he returned to the shop.

"I want more time to sell."

The old man looked at him carefully.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Take ten years."

Again, the contract was signed.

Adam became even richer. His business expanded globally. He traveled the world. Fame followed him everywhere.

But something strange started happening.

Adam felt tired more often. His hair started turning grey earlier than expected. His energy decreased.

Still, he ignored it.

Money mattered more.

The Final Deal

Years passed.

Adam became one of the richest men in the world. But he also became lonely. His parents passed away. His friends drifted apart. He had money — but no time to enjoy life.

One day, he returned to the shop again.

"I want to buy my time back," Adam said desperately.

The old man looked at him sadly.

"You can’t buy back time."

Adam’s voice shook.

"I’ll give you all my money."

The old man gently shook his head.

"Time is the most expensive thing in the world. Once sold, it never returns."

Adam realized something terrifying.

He had sold 25 years of his life.

His body felt weak. His hands trembled.

"Please… give me one more chance," Adam begged.

The old man stood up.

"I gave you chances every day… but you sold them."

The clocks in the room began ticking loudly.

Adam’s vision blurred.

The old man spoke one last sentence:

"Everyone is born rich with time… but most people spend it like they are poor."

Adam fell to the floor.

And the shop disappeared.
