This is a story about a man who lived in the United States during the 1970s and had a burning desire to become an actor. Unfortunately, he faced a series of challenges that made it difficult for him to achieve his dream.

He was completely broke, unable to pay his bills, and constantly fighting with his wife because he refused to take on a conventional job. He was aware that if he started earning a regular income, he would gradually forget about his passion for acting and just live an ordinary life. The very thought of this terrified him, and he would rather live on the streets than become a slave to a mundane job like everyone else.

He decides to take his dog and best friend Butkus on a train ride to Los Angeles, hoping it will improve his luck and revive his failing acting career. It seems like a good idea to him because he can audition for multiple roles in a day without a car, which he cannot afford. After all, that is where all the great Hollywood studios are located.

However, California does not prove to be a game-changer for him. Despite daily attempts, the studios reject him, and his dream of becoming an actor is fading away. This is further compounded by the fact that the lower left part of his chin is paralyzed, resulting in a slurring speech that makes his situation twice as challenging.

Desperate to change his fate, he spends most of his afternoons in the library, writing screenplays. He writes play after play, hoping one of them will appeal to the studios. Unfortunately, this only leads to a series of rejections, more than a thousand times.

Running out of money, he faces a new low when he is no longer able to afford food for his dog. With a heavy heart, he goes to a liquor store and sells his beloved pet to a stranger for $25. The experience leaves him devastated and bewildered by what he has done. He then goes to a nearby bar with the little money he has left, to drown his sorrows.

As he sips on his whiskey, he catches sight of a boxing match being broadcasted on television. The match is between Muhammad Ali and the underdog Chuck Wepner. Despite being considered a mediocre boxer by the boxing community and his own family, Chuck Wepner is in the ring with Ali, which is quite surprising.

Despite being the clear favorite, Ali should easily defeat Chuck Wepner, who seemingly does not stand a chance against him. However, Chuck Wepner somehow manages to get up every time Ali knocks him down. He even manages to knock Ali down once and fights valiantly for the entire 15 rounds without being knocked out by Ali. Although he loses on points, Chuck Wepner proves himself to be an outstanding and tenacious fighter against the greatest boxer of all time.

After the fight, Chuck Wepner's inspiring performance motivates our hero to write an extraordinary script about a white working-class man from Philadelphia who is given the opportunity to fight for the heavyweight title of the world despite the odds being against him.

He sends the script to various studios, but unfortunately, no one is interested in producing his story.

During an audition for an acting role, he was rejected once again. As he was leaving, he suddenly remembered that he had the script with him in his bag. He decided to turn back and shout to the producers that they should check out the amazing story. Although hesitant, they agreed to take a look and promised to read it.

Two days later, he received a call from the studio, expressing their interest in making a movie based on his script. They offered him a substantial sum of three hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars for the script. However, he declined the offer because they refused to let him play the lead role.

After several hours of negotiations, the studio finally agreed to let him play the lead role, on the condition that he only receive $35,000 for the script. He took the chance, despite the financial risk, as he knew that if the movie became successful without him in the lead role, he would always regret it.

As soon as he finalizes the deal with the studio, he rushes back to the liquor store and spends two entire days there until a stranger happens to pass by the store with his dog, and he seizes the moment to approach him. He informs the stranger that he now has enough money and wishes to retrieve his dog, but the stranger appears reluctant to return the pet.

To convince him, he offers the stranger a sum of over $2,000 and a minor role in the film. After some consideration, the man eventually agrees, and thus, he proceeds to produce the movie using the funds provided by the studio. To keep costs low, he casts his friends and family members in prominent roles, and the majority of the scenes are shot using handheld cameras in just one take.

After finishing the movie, he heads to Hollywood for a special screening hosted by the Directors Guild. He attends the event with his mother. The theatre is filled with around 900 people from the film industry.

It's not going well, the audience doesn't respond to the film as expected - the jokes fall flat and the fight scenes are met with silence.

As the screening progresses, people start leaving the cinema one by one until only our hero and his mother are left.

Feeling defeated, his mother tells him to come back home and start afresh by finding a job, but he decides to finish watching the movie.

He helps his mother down the three sets of stairs to the ground floor when he notices the whole crowd eagerly waiting for him. At that moment, they break into a wild round of applause. Overwhelmed with emotions, Sylvester Stallone sheds tears of joy as he realizes that his hard work has paid off. The film "Rocky" receives nine Oscar nominations and wins three, including Best Picture. Despite being shot with handheld cameras on a budget of less than one million dollars, the movie ends up earning over two hundred million dollars globally.

This is the story of how Sylvester Stallone became famous.

This story reminds us that no matter how difficult things may seem, no matter how many times we may fail, as long as we keep trying, we're one step closer to achieving our goals. It highlights the importance of being grateful for what we have in life and making the most of every opportunity.
