How To Let Go - The Art of Letting Go.

More than just clutter, letting go is about what we retain in our beings, the stuff that remains with us whether it was ours or something we connected with in the ethers.

  • Understanding what is yours and what isn’t
  • Learning how to sense stress in your body
  • Acknowledging things which bring pressure to your world.

Letting Go

Recently I received the bliss of a herbal wrap treatment and it was during the process that I kept hearing the practitioner say, ‘Let it go’ and since then I’ve noticed the ‘letting go’ of many small feelings and irritations which has led me to remember that any process has layers (ha ha) and I’m clearing yet another of those layers.

Some of these are quite significant and others seemingly not. More Subtle

What does letting go mean?

Letting go isn’t about just the big stuff.

It’s about knowing yourself and your body well enough to be able to sense held in stress then deciding to let that anonymous stress go.

If you’re a sensitive being you’ll often gather stresses floating in the breeze sorta.

No need to label it, just let the whole lot go and, if you want to, fill any perceivable gap left behind with Universal Love. Just pour it in, pour it in. That always works for me.

Why is Letting Go important?

The stuff you carry around with you (the negative stuff I mean) is a bit toxic and yuk. I get a picture of wading through heavy fudgy muck. Then as you let stuff go (that’s a technical term by the way) the going gets easier.

Letting go isn’t just about seemingly negative stuff it’s about positive as well. If you’re spending too much thought time on anything, then Let It Go so that it can settle into your world naturally and not forcefully.

Why do we have difficulty letting go?

In some cases it could be that you are trying to fix something, or someone who isn’t wanting to be fixed, other times it’s because you have LOVE in your heart for them and see ‘letting go’ as a stop to that loving.

It isn’t, it’s a way of clarifying your love and stopping you from trying to heal another instead of lovingly supporting them.

How can you deal with letting go?

One of the main aspects of Letting Go is realizing what makes you hold on to stuff and to see and feel how your body responds to this holding on.

An area I have come to recognize is how much clutter I have around me. Oh, it may be important stuff but clutter is clutter. In the past I’ve put off the clearing of the bits of paper from my desk but now, once I notice that I’m been hanging on to these, not doing whatever it is on these notes, I pile them all together and clear them or shred them. Sometimes that note you’ve held onto for more than a month is just no longer pertinent. It’s done it’s job

Other notes can be reordered, calenderized, rescripted and sorted in other ways. The main theme here is to clear your desk of the unknown.

One space to look and learn about how you hold stress and clutter inside you is that time when you’d say you were relaxing. By this I mean when you read, play e-games, watch the TV. You should, by all accounts, have a really relaxed body?

At those times aim to pause what you’re doing and feel how relaxed your body really is. There’s a good chance that you’ve got some tension in your body and this tension (especially when you’re ‘relaxing’) is a sure sign of holding on.

Deep breathing into that tense spot is an immediate relaxing thing to do. Pull Universal Love in with your breath, cycle it through your heart and watch how much difference this makes to your posture and your relaxedness.

Enjoy the process of letting go and the spring clean that it creates on all levels.

Sending Love and Hugs out over the airwaves to YOU. LINDA
