On Resiliency
We seem to have reached a point in time where our lives are more stressful than ever. Each day the responsibilities on our shoulders seemingly increase, our thirst to achieve our dreams and goals grow stronger, and the emotional and mental stress laid upon us by our jobs, degrees, or relationships often take a physical toll. How can we expect to keep going in times like this? How do we overcome the overwhelming urge to simply pull the covers over our heads and ignore the call to rise another day and function, when we feel dismally hopeless? Resiliency is the name of the game.
Chahat SharmaPublished 6 years ago in MotivationFinding Who I Am
Current Date & Time: 03/06/2018 6:46PM It's been a long time since I've questioned myself. My morals, my values, who I want to be, what I want to be, etc. And now... I'm stuck at a standstill trying to figure all of this out while my work is piling up. I don't know who I am anymore. It's terrifying not knowing who you are. Looking in the mirror and not being able to recognize the face looking back at you. Realizing all of the messed up things you've done in the past and trying to convince yourself it was for the better, but knowing that you've hurt people and trying to forgive yourself, hoping they forgive you some day too. Realizing that when you were younger you were just so stupid and you haven't grown up much since then. To know you're still hurting people and you're still trying to find your way but not knowing how. I feel like a kid lost in a 1,000 aisle grocery store, not knowing what aisle their mom is in.

I never had an easy life. For the most part of my life, I have never been truly happy. I’ve always felt like the world was crushing me. When I was a child, my family used to take care of other children that came into our foster home. You would think that I would always have someone to play with and would feel like I was never alone or lonely. However, the exact opposite feelings came from this childhood. I was very much alone in my thoughts as I was never good at opening up.
Shawn GallantPublished 6 years ago in MotivationBoost Your Mood
A lot of times you find yourself in a weird place and your mood is just down and you don’t know why; or you're hurt, rejected, someone broke your heart; or just unmotivated and can’t focus or get back on your work or find a path to your success. First, have an open mind while trying these items.
Julia catherinePublished 6 years ago in MotivationUnpopular Opinion: Not Having a Passion is OK
Have you found your passion in life? No? NO? Follow you passion! Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life! Guess what? You probably won’t find your passion. Chances are, you might not even have the world’s definition of a “passion”.
JJ LongPublished 6 years ago in Motivation101 on Living a Self Care Lifestyle
Life is chaos. This is not me trying to be deep or poetic; this is me being simply real with you. The list of things we have to worry about in life could fill an entire planet (for each of us!). All the choices we have to make, the chores and errands we have to accomplish, and all the emotions that bump around in our mind makes each and every individual a hero in my eyes! Being a hero requires us to do so much for others that we sometimes forget the most important person in our lives: ourselves.

Throughout life, you will face many battles. Some of those battles you will lose and some of those battles you will win, but there's this one battle that we all need to win and that's the battle, "To Win."

From a young age, we are often asked what it is we want to be when we grow up. As innocent and sometimes funny as that question might be, it is not always an easy one to answer, especially when you're not 5. Here I am, 20 years old, not in school, working my ass off to make my rent every month, and I have no idea were I'm going next. As much as it is great to plan for the future; in reality that detailed step by step plan is going to go exactly *well* to plan. That's okay. Life happens, shit happens, you fall in and out of love, and you live.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. My self-diagnosis. Because, it would appear that the fist-sized slab of meat that makes up my supposed centre is no longer beating as passionately, or as vividly as it once did.
Rachael GarnettPublished 6 years ago in MotivationCreating the Power Mindset
Your mindset is what you think daily, people always wonder why they were so close to success, and things fell through. My answer you ask? Well, it's the simple fact that you did not have a positive mindset believing that anything is possible.

At the age of ten, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. For those of you that are not familiar, Hypothyroidism fucks with your metabolism. A lot. To the point where I was gaining weight just for being alive. Literally everything I ate made me heavier and heavier, and I didn’t even realize it until the 7th grade. I’ve lost a tremendous amount of weight since then, and am creeping closer to my ideal weight, but the feeling of being heavy has never left me. However, I have come a long way on this journey of finding self-love and being able to live my life for myself. That is why I wanted to share some of my thoughts and experiences, in hopes that whoever reads this might find revelation in it.
GIRL KPublished 6 years ago in MotivationRead Those Motivational Books
Sometimes people need a little extra boost of motivation to help them achieve certain goals. Having a coach or parent try to motivate you all the time is not enough so turning to experts in your field might be just what you need. It certainly helped me.
