Stability In Success

Written by a human, for humans, always.

It is difficult to find success in life.

If it were easy...

More people would do it...

Instead of 98% of people ending up on their deathbeds regretting their lives.

Now, there are a variety of reasons that people struggle to obtain success...

But I want to focus in specifically on those...

Who work toward their success...

Perhaps even taste some of what their success could bring into their lives...

Then lose it...

Never to see it again...

What happened?

How is it that this occurs?

One of the factors that most people fail to account for in their lives...

Is their foundation in life.

What is it that they are building their success upon?

See...

Most people's foundations are unstable...

Like building on mud or sand.

You have the ability to build upon it...

You may even begin to see some form of progress along the way...

It could even be something beautiful...

But...

If the foundation cannot sustain what is being built upon it...

Then whatever you build will collapse.

It seems...

Basic...

But...

I frequently watch people build on unstable foundations.

They push themselves beyond their physical limits...

They chase tactics and trends that inevitably change...

They dedicate all their lives to businesses and platforms that disappear or discard them over time...

They stretch their funds too thinly...

They choose to live only for a small aspect of what makes them human while ignoring every other part of their lives...

And...

The final result...

Is that it all comes crashing down.

Now...

What both they and society often fail to see...

Is when the foundation is the actual problem.

So many people...

Become enraptured in what it is that they are building...

Believing that simply building something is what makes them successful.

Wrong.

Anyone can build...

Most attempt to...

But true success is sustained...

Long outliving the builder themselves...

Continuing to reveal just how incredible the creation was...

And demonstrating the Sageship that went into it.

When you fail to see that the foundation is the problem...

What happens to most people...

Is that they continue to build...

But things feel wrong...

When one thing is build up...

Another seems to crash down...

As more effort is applied...

Fewer results are obtained...

Innovation and creativity are lost as defensive and protective measures are applied...

Except it does not seem to change the overall outcome.

You may even see something appear to be "successful" from a distance...

But as you investigate it more closely...

All you find is a group of workers attempting to build up faster than the building is coming down.

Some people, groups, and businesses are able to keep up the illusion for awhile...

But...

Just like everything...

The truth is revealed eventually...

And when that happens...

Everything that was being built...

Becomes abandoned...

Because no one wants to sustain something that cannot provide value in the long term...

And eventually...

That idol of success will crumble down in the unstable foundation...

Leaving only ruins...

If anything remains at all.

If you truly want to have success in life...

The kind that leaves you on your deathbed without regret...

You first need to pay attention to the foundation that you will build upon.

It may seem like a given...

But so few people actually pay attention to it at all...

And it always ends up costing them vastly more than they realize.

Build your success on stable ground so that it may sustain you as you stretch toward Sageship.
