Make The Hard Call

Written by a human, for humans, always.

We all have things we want to achieve in life...

Goals we would like to get to...

Accomplishments we would like to attain...

Hopes for things to go a certain way.

It is human to want things to head in a certain direction.

But the reality is...

Sometimes life does not go that way.

Some days are going to be rough.

We may reach limits we do not want to admit to.

We may hit a barrier when we least want to.

The resources we need - whether monetary, time-based, or in terms of our bodily energy - may simply be nonexistent.

At some point in your life...

You are going to be faced with a problem...

And you are going to have to make a call.

That call...

You're not going to like.

It may hurt your ego.

It may feel like a defeat.

It may cause you incredible fear.

It may impact your life and others' lives.

Whatever the call is...

It is going to be a hard call.

Perhaps extremely hard.

Here's what most people do not realize...

When we fail to make the hard calls in life...

The circumstances around those calls do not suddenly disappear.

The problem is still going to be face-to-face with us.

And...

If you fail to make the hard call...

The circumstances around the problem are going to change.

However...

The vast majority of the time...

The circumstances do not disappear or improve...

Most of the time they become worse...

And worse...

And worse...

Until there is a breaking point...

And failure to make the hard call destroys you.

With every hard call that can be made...

There is a breaking point.

The longer you hold off on making that call...

The closer you come to that breaking point.

But it is not just a matter of time...

You also have two other forces working against you.

Momentum and Compounding.

When there are hard calls...

It may seem like waiting may be the best option...

But here's the reality...

As you wait...

The circumstances surrounding the problem...

Begin to gain momentum against you.

A problem does not stay still until you're ready to make the call...

It continues to advance until you make the hard call...

Or everything becomes too out of hand to control anymore.

With this...

The problems are also going to compound.

One problem will grow into two...

Two will grow into four...

And four will grow into eight.

The longer you wait to make the hard call...

The more compounding will occur...

Plus...

Each of these aspects of the problem that are exponentially growing...

Have their own momentum.

This is why people are destroyed when they fail to make the hard call.

When these problems become exponentially worse...

And they are all gaining momentum...

You eventually lose the ability to make a call at all...

And at that point, you are going to be forced to face the consequences of failing to make the call.

Now...

The consequences are going to depend on what is at stake, of course...

But here is the thing...

You would not feel the weight of a hard call...

If the stakes were not high.

So...

If you are already feeling the weight of a hard call...

It is safe to assume that the longer you wait to make the call...

The closer you become dragged into disaster.

So...

Do yourself a favor...

And stop waiting to make the hard call.

Just make it.

It may be difficult or painful to make it...

But the alternative is going to be vastly worse.
