8 WAYS TO HELP YOU STAY PRODUCTIVE DURING LOCKDOWN
Staying productive during this period of lockdown can be hard if your quarantining, self-isolating, or enduring the lockdown alone. The reality is, I only started to embrace the extra quiet time of everyday life while trying to find new ways to keep myself busy. As much as we all miss our ‘normal life,’ we might as well make the most out of the free time we do have.

It takes a global pandemic to make you see.
There is nothing like a global pandemic to make us realise how realient and adaptable we really are. We have been grounded by this virus, this parent we never even asked for, something not even our own parents could do but here we are, grounded! Like lost little children, crying for the pubs to reopen, but here we are, locked away inside our homes, but it made us realise how much stuff we thought we needed that we don’t. So many of us have been clearing out our personal junk, disconnecting with people we thought we needed and reconnecting with people we haven’t spoken to in months or even years. This pandemic has forced us to simplify ourselves and become more creative in our personally lives, it has forced us to reconnect using social media and talk to family members on zoom. Dinner dates over video chat and if we don’t like the way the date is going, we can turn off.

Make Self Quarantine Work For You
It's one thing to stay home by choice, but staying home because you HAVE to is a whole other animal entirely. What makes it even harder is you have no idea how long you'll be doing this for. At least when you got grounded growing up you knew how long you were grounded for. You had that internal countdown keeping track of how long until your life would go back to normal.

For the Love of the Irish
While being under the weather, and not having much motivation for creation in any fashion, It was pretty tough to get the gumption to move my fever face from my bed to my desktop. (SOOO I am going to be keeping this bad boy short and sweet because I feel like I'm dying over here.)

Body Standards
Whispers scream in the moonlight, fighting every chance they can. The thoughts take over because the minds walls were down for an instant. Negativity seeps in and now I’m too far gone because my temperature has risen, I know I can’t be the only one.

Let’s get through this together!
I’m writing this to everyone in the world right now. It’s taken me a good month to finally have something click in my head, but it’s happened. It randomly happened at 11pm as I sat down and thought about what the year was like on January 1st. This year for many people was supposed to be their big year, and now something has taken over that most likely won’t happen on this scale ever again.

Lockdown Hacks
Being under a kind of 'house arrest' definitely isn't part of our 'normal'. Lockdown and isolation are forcing us to stop, be still, and ultimately live at a completely different pace and in a completely different world to what we're used to. If you're anything like me - and by that I mean a total exrovert - this is probably your worst nightmare. How do you survive without being able to go and talk to other humans?! If you're an introvert, being your own best friend for a couple months must look a little more like paradise! But for those of you who, like me, are finding it harder to navigate the weird loneliness of lockdown-land, here's a few simple hacks that have helped slow down the process of me turning into some kind of crazy hermit lady.

CO-VID 19: A Plague of Loneliness
The following is a stream of consciousness about loneliness during CO-VID 19: When I first sat down to write this article, my intention was to create a list of creative outlets which you can use when you're feeling lonely during your self-isolation. But the reality is, is that whilst we have access to these creative outlets, it doesn't stop us from feeling lonely. It might mask the feeling for a little bit, but that feeling is still there. I feel it. You feel it. We all feel it.

5 Mindful Activities To Try In Quarantine
Let's face it. We're all stuck inside for the foreseeable future and probably feeling overwhelmed and anxious. While this is an inconvenience, and it's easy to focus on the negative, there many ways to feel grounded in uncertain times. The first step is to get in touch with your emotions and know that whatever you are feeling is valid. Next, it's time to begin some inward reflection and maybe even pick up a few new hobbies.
