Finding Myself
Finding Myself Well, I've decided that once around wasn't enough. So I moved on. I pushed against the currents and I made myself the person I am today. I'm always going to write. I'm always going to think. I'm always going to wonder if things worked out differently, what would my life be like today. I don't really have a reason why. But, I'm a writer. Until I find something else to write about, my main focus is going to be me.

Stop Searching For Proof To Justify Your Story
We tell stories to our friends, our children, and our partners. Sometimes we even tell stories to ourselves. It's a deeply ingrained part of who we are as humans. We were created to question the world. Our minds are always searching for ways to explain our surroundings.

Leveling Up
WHAT IS TRUTH? Merriam-Webster defines "truth" as - 1.the body of real things, events, and facts; actuality. 2. the state of being the case; fact. When capitalized, "Truth" takes on a transcendent fundamental, or a spiritual reality. But, where does truth exist? Can I point to some thing, some place, some event and say definitively, "This is truth"?

WHAT I'VE LEARNT FROM 2020
2020 was one of the most hardest year for so many of us but sometimes we all have to walk through darkness to know the importance of light. While reading my journal entries from the beginning of this year, I just realized how quickly life can change, how mercilessly our whole life is shattering in front of us and what we can only do is to stare at it helplessly!

Life In Pandemic Times
As the Christmas season comes around once more and the year is drawing to a close, I cannot help thinking of how fortunate we have been this year. Many people have to live from day to day and do not know how they will take care of themselves or their families. I lived that life for many years before I came to Hope Gardens. So, I know how many feel in these uncertain times. I got through it, though, and landed on my feet. I know many will, too, because we are survivors.

It's the 2020 Vision for Me. Top Story - December 2020.
Around this time last year, my social media feed was filled with posts of people self proclaiming their "20/20 vision" into the new year. Whether it was for the ironic play on words, or for the desire to see the world in a different lens, I think it's safe to say everyone had to shift their perspective as the new year came crashing in. Maybe it came as a relief to those who made their 2020 resolutions to go to the gym, because come April, there was no such thing as going to the gym. But others experienced tragedy: losing family members, being laid off from their jobs, struggling for an income and searching for sanity.

"Stay Ready...So You Don't Have to Get Ready!"
Story Time! So it was field trip day at our home school, and I couldn't have been more excited! I had been stalking the internet for learning adventures for my kids and I for December because, well, November was less than adventerously intriguing. "Great", I thought when I stumbled upon the perfect outdoor activity- a science lesson in the park! "This sounds like fun, and will get us out of the house to participate in a long overdue field trip."
