Sustainable permaculture, agorism, and Magick are my favorite endeavors. Writing about them is not far behind.

Towards Autonomy
Change Your Mind Watching the above video content will give you my perspective on the effect our thoughts have on creating our reality. My understanding of this comes from my study of religious texts, metaphysical texts (some may understand this to be redundant), quantum physics, and Jungian psychology.

Everything We Do is Magick
ALONE IN A CROWD I don't remember exactly what age I became aware of the above understanding of the nature of existence. What I do remember are the looks, at least most of them, when I asked questions about such. The Age of Reason had extracted all (or so it was thought) of the mysticism from "science", but the advances of quantum physics have revealed that the mysticism and the hard science are inseparable. That there is something beyond our understanding that holds everything together....but, I'm getting ahead of myself.

New and Improved Content
Buckwheat Farms Magick Emporium and Ballroom is coming up on one year of creating video content on You Tube. As I fiddled with how little or how much content to create, when to create and release, etc., the one constant was the Morning Love content. For 96 Mornings over the past year, I have delivered words of love, hope, and encouragement...sharing much of my own journey into my darkness in search of my light. It has been truly cathartic and, I hope, of benefit to others.

More Than Organic Gardening
Permaculture This phrase was coined by Bill Mollison, one of the pioneers in the practice of designing permanent agriculture ("permaculture") systems. More specifically, it is the integration of specific principles to create an ecosystem which is productive, stable, and diverse...while considering the existing environment and natural ecosystems.

Moving Towards a New Economy
THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION AND MATERIALISM The Industrial Revolution involved a massive and dramatic shift from a localized agrarian/handcraft economy to one controlled by industry, manufacturing, and the accumulation of wealth...the rise of capitalism.

The Case for Anarchy
WHAT IS ANARCHY? It is said that he who controls the narrative controls the people. This adage is aptly slapped on the term "anarchy", as the media and government (one and the same?) attempt to control the populace by controlling the meaning of words. Every time a group riots or someone engages in mass violence, the news stories and reports march lock-step in proclaiming the event to be "anarchy". The recent "revolution" at the Capitol is a case in point. Fifty cents for every time anarchy was used in a story surrounding this would be a nifty retirement fund. So...What IS anarchy?

Chicken Chili in the Style of Cholent and We Make Kimchi
CHOLENT? Cholent, a traditional Jewish "overnight" stew, is traditionally started on Friday afternoon and allowed to cook overnight...thus fulfilling the Mitzvaot (command) against lighting a fire on Shabbat. Charlene and I fell in love with the hearty, thick stew. This is an easy dish to create...and I happen to have barley, but alas there are no ribs. The weather is perfect, slow cooker ease....

Adam's Original Sin....or
FOHLMER BECOMES AN APPRENTICE "I'm no fool", thought Fohlmer Olin, "mom would probably say different...I can hear her now, 'You've always got your head in the clouds, my little Folly Olly'...oh I hated when she called me that!" Fohlmer snapped to the present, "I know wisdom and power when I see them."

How to Save the World
MACRO -VS- MICRO - If you read my article "Leveling Up Part 2 - Darwin was Wrong", you know what I think about his theory (if you haven't read it, now would be a good time). You also may have read about what I call "the Great Umph", a purposeful and intentional shift of consciousness that results in an evolutionary shift on the "macro" level. Where in Micro-evolution the species uses changes in the genetic makeup to create variations within the species, Macro-evolution results in the formation of a new species.

Fohlmer and the Magick Pig Poop
Ikhan Trodor, a Wizard of great wisdom and power, farmed a small plot of land at the edge of the village of Archia with his wife Chyna. Ikhan raised chickens and pigs, sheep and goats. The fruits and vegetables Ikhan grew were prized the village over. The villagers all thought the couple to be a bit strange. Ikhan conducted odd rituals and painted strange figures on the corner posts of his property. The honey Chyna's bees produced was said to open the eyes and heal the soul. Most of the other villagers simply ignored the couple, but they were well aware that the boxes of food and necessities that showed up when they were in the greatest need were complements of Ikhan and Chyna. This generosity helped soothe the unease the villagers felt at having such a wise and powerful Wizard in their midst.
