My Little Black Book
I carried it with me everywhere I went and for as long as could remember. My grandmother gifted me a little black book when I was a teenager. It looked more like a black leather journal that was handwoven from the 18th century. She said that the book held mystical spiritual energies that would reveal themselves to me in time. She told me to journal in it whenever I felt unhappy, mad at the world, or exciting news that brought happiness to my life. My little black book would be my confidant, my best friend, and my shoulder of support that would get me through the next several decades.

Creation Creates
We create because we are the universe continuing to create. The universe was created, and started to form itself into quarks, protons, neutrons, atoms, chemicals, gases, liquids, solids, asteroids, moons, planets, solar systems, galaxies, to continue to build itself into life that could reflect in on itself (as far as we know), and continue to create because that is just what the universe does. We create because there is nothing more or less to do. We do not live to only survive, but to continue our “work” as part of the universe.

The Little Black Book
Paul was in a bad mood. It wasn’t just the cold windy rain of early February, the worst time of year as everyone deceased he ever knew died in February. It was everything. His life, or lack thereof, his long standing self-loathing, which also made it difficult to like any other human being, and his utter failure at achieving what he thought he should have by now at the ripe old age of 45. Sure he had a family, house, and job, but his family thought he was no fun, his house was falling apart, and his job was decent but like most other jobs in the world, meaningless and populated by self-serving sycophants. All of this made the biting wind and freezing rain that much more irksome as he tried to stumble his way to his car after a long night at the office and brief workout at the gym. He rounded the corner to the parking lot when he heard a strange noise near the dark trees. He was going to ignore it but curiosity won him over. The wind died down and now the rain was ice. The sound of ice hitting everything was the first pleasant feeling he had all night. Then he saw IT. Or rather, HER.

2020 In A Wrap
Depression tears down the mind. Down and Out Have you ever been so down that you just don't know what to do next? I definitely have and am going through that right now. With the last year being a crazy roller coaster brought about by Covid-19 and the lack of employment, most of us don't know what we are going to do. Where we are going next? How to pay the bills? It is a never ending questions that many of us have received the taste of lately and it is a very bitter one. I've watch so many good people fall at the hands of uncertainty and a lack of job security. Mentally and financially people are struggling to make way and to provide for their family. What can someone do? What would you do?

Find Yourself to Grow
Today is the day for love according to Western societal culture, other known as Valentine's Day. I wrote an article leading up to today. How am I feeling today? I'm single and embracing self-love in new ways every, single, day. I woke up to get coffee and my roommate and her new fiance greeted me. She had her hand up showcasing her new ring. After taking it in and giving hugs, I sighed a sense of relief and in that moment, I felt more comforted than I thought I would. You may already know that I've been single for the past 5 months so relatively newly single and I've been learning a lot about myself and relationships in general from that relationship. You can wish for love but you can't force love. Wanting love doesn't guarantee having love especially when another person is involved. I knew that I could no longer look for love in my partner and today I'm finally at peace with that.

The Bandana It was a cold Sunday afternoon as she sat at the table staring out into what felt like an abyss. The big oak table was heavy underneath her forearms as she pondered. She took in the strong smell of stain and poly, finding some brief joy in the fact that she had recently brought the old table back to life. Stefan Ardey Black Book of Rich Man's Secrets It's just another typical day with Howard Lawson, a 29-year-old man from Newark, New Jersey that works at a supermarket. Howard has been working at the supermarket for the past 5 years. Howard has a few friends that he has kept in touch with from high school and lives with his parents in their humble abode. He doesn't have many aspirations in his life except to work hard and help his parents. He hardly does anything out of the ordinary. He's a cashier and works on minimum wage making a low but decent living. Howard strives to help his parents make ends meet, which gives him satisfaction in life and is his main goal.
