Walking in a wood
What a pleasure is a walk in the woods! You don't really remember how revitalizing it is until you find yourself overwhelmed by city life. Anxiety and panic attacks, stressing out about nothing and everything, cycling through trafficky roads breathing the fumes of a million exhausts...watching out for cars and bicycles and pedestrians coming out from every corner, ears filled with the noise of the construction sites and mopeds and people yelling. Then somehow life, one day, by coincidence leads you into a piece of green land, and surprise catches you unawares.

Why can I not get myself to write?
Right, I have the title, I have the subtitle, I have the cover photo, I have a question to explore. Now what? I just finished listening to a podcast about love, desire, and attachment by Andrew Huberman, a professor of neuroscience and opthalmology at the University of Stanford in San Francisco. Now I am listening to a podcast by David Tennant with Neil Gaiman, do I even need to introduce them? I am definitely inspired.

The fat nonsense about carbs, protein, and fiber
There are three misconceptions in this world that drive me crazy: that pizza, bread, potatoes, rice and pasta are "the carbs", that you need to add fiber to your salad, and that animal food equals protein.

Shopping for knowledge
Last year, when lockdown started I decided that I wanted to learn some specific skills and get educated in some subjects of personal interest. I wanted to get back into the world with an edge, I wanted to come out of the lockdown better than I got into it.

Why Bruce Lee is such an enduring icon, at least to me, the greatest...you'll love this one!
So, why Bruce Lee? Was he a saint? A prophet? A genius of some kind? Bruce wasn't a saint, I am sure of it, it is possible that he cheated on his wife, just as it is possible that he was a model husband, it is possible that he never did drugs, or it is possible that he did cocaine regularly in Hollywood parties, after all, if I understand correctly, he was quite a bad boy as a kid and adolescent. Did he really win the fight with Wong Jack Man? Was he really such an unbeatable fighter? or was it all just hype? He studied philosophy, but was he actually a solid, quality philosopher? I have no idea. And it doesn't matter, because whatever the medium, the message of Bruce's life impacted me and innumerable other people on earth in such a positive way that whatever the actual truth, it doesn't change the essence and power of the moral, cultural and philosophical relevance of his brief, well lived life.

No one puts Baby in a corner part 1 and part 2
Part 1 Kill your darlings. Easier said then done. We get so attached to our own ideas that they become like our Babies, our darlings, something we stop seeing objectively and something we attach our sense of self and worth to.

who we truly are
Who we truly are is something beautiful, but it is also something vulnerable and sensitive and easily hit and hurt. Who we truly are is open, wants to show itself, wants to get in touch and connect. Our true essence needs to breathe and express and interact. It wants to touch and to be touched, wants to amuse and to be amused, wants to speak and do the truth, wants to be spoken to and be done the truth to. Wants to be done away with the filters.

Writing as an excuse for adventures
Good writers, musicians, artists have things to get out of their heads and chests and hands, they have topics to explore, stories to share, experiences they want to bring to life and to a public of glad witnesses.
