Do you ever feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? Like no matter what you do, you still feel this urge to explode? Then maybe it’s time to let go of those old grudges. When a person wrongs you, you may not notice it immediately, but if you don’t forgive them, it will take a toll on you! I know there’s a few people that took a while for me to work on forgiving, and at times, I have to remind myself that I have already forgiven them and myself. Especially living in a small town, where you see and hear about people constantly.

Carrying around bitterness and not forgiving someone or yourself can bear a lot of weight to your soul and to your emotions. You skip going to hangouts with your friends because you might see someone you don’t get along with, and honestly that person isn’t worth you missing out on memories. You may get angry when you hear that person’s name and let the thought of them ruin a great night. Why? This is ridiculous! You’re letting them win. I know I know it’s hard. Trust me I do, but forgiveness doesn’t mean you have to forget what happened or that you have to even speak to a person again. It also doesn’t mean that you’re making excuses for that person! Just relax, sit down and take a breath, so you can let go.

Forgiveness means that you allow yourself to say that the situation and the person or people involved in hurting you or causing you to hold resentment towards them, will no longer control you and your emotions. You allow yourself to release any vengeance or harsh feelings you have towards a person, and you choose to no longer curse someone or wish evil upon them because they have wronged you. Remember that even saying anything negative about them, backfires on you.

Forgiving someone is easier said than done, but it only benefits you and your life. When you let go, you’re allowing room for growth in your own life. So be selfish and forgive! Our words have power and when we put negative energy out into the universe, it always turns around and harms us in the end. When we instead, “turn the other cheek” and pray for and send good vibes to those we’re trying to forgive, we’re opening the door for blessings to flood in! You will be happier, healthier, and you will blossom.

Remember.... Karma is a B ,and it will get those who have wronged you if they don’t seek forgiveness for themselves. However, do not dwell on that!! You are only hurting yourself if you do not forgive. This is a hard lesson to learn, but I promise you that the faster you learn it, the better off you will be. Life will be better if you let it go. The world is full of things we cannot control, but we can control who we forgive.

Forgiving yourself is a lot harder, because honestly, YOU can be your biggest enemy. If you wake up in the morning, then you have a chance at forgiveness. Tell yourself that you will never forget what happend.. It was a lesson learned, and that it made you stronger. Work through it as hard as it may be. You can do it!! Once you do, you will be able to learn to love yourself and live a better life. It all goes hand in hand. ❤️❤️

If you want to talk more about this, I am always here!! ❤️

Love you guys!! You are worthy of forgiveness!
