There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a person being themselves. Imagine going through your day being unapologetically you. Steve Maraboli

Only the truth of who you are, if realized, will set you free. Eckhart Tolle

You have decided to be the Real You. No longer wearing a mask simply to fit in.

Perhaps at times asking who is the Real You. The True Inner You — Your Important Skills — Your Passions. Once answered these questions reveal the Real You. Once answered life will be simpler, not a process of trial and error.

Have you ever felt somewhere on life’s journey you took a side track and lost your true identity? Well, you are not alone! The way back to the Real You is a path leading to true happiness. When you do reach this destination you will be able to give and care for others.

The Real You is a synonym for beauty on the inside. When truthfully, openly and honestly dealing with others your inner beauty shines across your face. You will be beautiful. You will live life to its fullest.

A True and Real Life is a lifelong escapade. An adventure which you will travel one day at a time. As you walk this path of growth, healing and self-love a clearer picture of you develops.

This expedition is lined with moments where you are truly, honestly and openly comfortable with who you are. Even in the company of ‘doubting Thomas's. You stand true and tall in the face of adversity.

To be the Real You — Truth — Honesty — Openness is vital.

With love and patience, nothing is impossible. Daisaku Ikeda

Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it and maintain a positive attitude. Lou Holtz

Nothing is impossible when taken one meaningful step at a time. Just because a ballroom dancer needs to practice their craft, doesn’t mean the gold medal wasn’t worth the pain, time and effort. You have your whole life to get it right — and get it right you will. It will get easier with time and practice, like ballroom dancing. I promise!

Being true, open and honest will lead to deeper and more meaningful relationships. You are indeed ready to gain all that life offers by embracing the Real You. No masks — No compromise!

Upon appreciating and acknowledging the Real You — you gain the inner confidence and strength to conquer all obstacles life places before you. More importantly, you will understand your true purpose in life.

Being the Real You is not static — it changes and grows — adapting to life’s stages. Earning rewards and strategies along the way.

The best portion of a good man’s life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love. William Wordsworth

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Aesop

Valuing who you are in such a way that when you need to speak your opinion-you do it truthfully, honestly and openly. But as you value the feelings of others, you always balance the importance of speaking your mind with the need for sensitivity.

Is what you’re going to say hurtful to the other person? Perhaps find the right time and place to discuss what is on your mind. Be gentle, kind, calm, open and concerned for the needs of the other person. Allow them to share their feelings and let them know how they feel is okay. They are entitled to their feelings also.

Always be aware of what words you use and never be vague even if you are trying to ‘cushion the blow’. Try to see the discussion from the other person’s perspective.

Now, because you have shown the other person respect, dignity and sensitivity in how your opinion was discussed. They too felt valued. A win-win I believe!

Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there. Bo Jackson

The decisions you make are a choice of values that reflect your life in every way. Alice Waters

To simplify achieving goals, you need to identify your most important values — the things and people you hold most dear. These values are unique to you and change throughout your life and with the decisions you make.

You and you alone know what and who you hold dear — your core values. So, when you need to make a choice and/or a decision align it to your core values.

In the ideal situation, you have the time to evaluate all your preferences and your decision will fully align with your highest values. Sadly, life isn’t always that simple. Compromise may be called for. Compromise on behavior but do not compromise your core values.

Stay true to yourself.

You indeed are guided by an inner sense of integrity. This personal moral and ethical code you have shown respect for others and yourself. This will strengthen your resolve not to compromise your core values which you hold dear in difficult situations.

Only passions, great passions can elevate the soul to great things. Denis Diderot

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. Anatole France

Pursuing your passion means finding what you want to do, where you work perhaps. It comes from the heart. It is of necessity, meaningful for you. It also needs to be what you are extremely good at. Therefore by living a meaningful life you again are being the Real You.

When gaining employment that truly and honestly is in line with the Real You, it again gives your life true purpose. That’s got to be good, yes? Deep down you believe you have a direction where life is calling. A job where true satisfaction is found. A job where you jump out of bed each morning eager to start a new day. A job where you feel you are precisely where life meant you to be.

Living from the Heart — and Finding your Calling — Finding the Real You.

Sadly, there are many voices in our minds calling for our attention. Learning to listen to your inner voice which teaches you the right direction to take, requires time and effort.

Have you ever heard the saying ‘your gut feeling’? Perhaps this is just another term for your inner voice? Your body’s way of letting you know what is the right or wrong way at a particular junction. Develop an attitude of peace and serenity. Listen to your inner voice for guidance — directing your path — it is kind and has its brand of wisdom.

That inner voice has both gentleness and clarity. So, to get to authenticity, you really keep going down to the bone, to the honesty, and the inevitability of something. Meredith Monk

This inner voice is your compass helping you make decisions and guiding you through life. This kind, gentle guidance is at times difficult to hear because of the other distracting noises in your mind. Just listen for it and notice, it is there — pay attention!!!

Letting others see your vulnerability and gentleness is an asset of the Real You which at times you may be hesitant to expose. Letting those you care for know where you feel insecure and a little vulnerable or weak is not a failure, but a sign of sharing and caring. Each of us has areas in ourselves that are not strong. This is only human. Allowing others into our weaker sides connects as nothing else. Allowing for Truth, Honesty and Openness to work their magic once more.

Step back a moment and remember a time when you were able to help another person in legitimate need. You may have needed to step out of your comfort zone for a while to do so. Yet to show pure empathy and truly help a little if you needed to be shown. Or, perhaps you needed to ask for help. And, this goes completely against your grain. You had to dig deep within yourself and express what your needs were. This indeed was a time of vulnerability for you.

You learned being vulnerable is not a problem for you. It can be a life-changer. So treasure this side of you as it has much to teach you.

Your passion is as unique as you are. And you must heed what it tells you. Staying true to yourself also. Finding time to follow and focus on your passion can make an impact on the wider world. I do this by promoting and selling my paintings.

Following your dream is not easy, trust me, but it is at times fun! The time simply slips by as your dream yields benefits you would not dare to imagine. Not giving up on your dream/passion will indeed result in your desire. It did for me! Yes, a lot of hard work — some heartache and disappointment along the way. But it is worth it!

Along the way, following your passion allows you to dig deeper and yet again re-discover the Real You. Don’t listen to those who say you can’t do it. It is your dream- follow it. It will come true!

You have allowed yourself the time needed to develop the Real You. So, questions along the way were answered. Perhaps view your life as a play. With you as the main star and your life as the stage. You are the director and the producer of this play.

As the director, you call on your past experiences to help make decisions guiding which way to take at life’s junctions. As the producer, you choose which skills, passions, and fellow players act in your chapters.

In this path — the Real You — you have advanced who you truly are. You have found out what you are both good at and passionate about. You have been honest with yourself at times and asked for feedback when in doubt. You collected and valued relationships that adhere to the same core values as you.

In brief, you now know who the Real You is.

You have grown and changed answering your calling and left behind any self-doubts which may have hindered growth.

You have reached your current destination. Viewing your life as an adventure, perhaps. Your strengths and confidence have grown along the way. Continue your lifelong adventure — grow and change along the way! I wish you well!!!
