Don't make a decision based on your emotions.
Don’t decide emotionally.

One moment, you look at your partner and think,
"How did I get so lucky?"
The next moment, you're thinking,
"I can't believe you just did that."
Funny how quickly emotions can change.
But don't make permanent decisions based on temporary emotions.
Sometimes you don't need to walk away.
Sometimes you just need to cool down, talk it out, and remember that you're both human.
Because when you're angry, everything feels bigger than it actually is.
A small disagreement can suddenly feel like a reason to question the entire relationship. One sentence said in the wrong tone can make you forget every kind thing that person has ever done for you.
And that's the dangerous part about emotions.
They can convince you that what you're feeling right now is how you're going to feel forever.
But it isn't.
You've probably had moments where you were completely certain you were done with someone, only to calm down a few hours later and realize that you didn't actually want to lose them. You were hurt. You were frustrated. You needed space.
There's a difference.
Being angry doesn't automatically mean you're unhappy.
Being disappointed doesn't automatically mean you stopped loving someone.
And having a bad day together doesn't mean you have a bad relationship.
Sometimes two people who genuinely love each other will still misunderstand each other. They'll say things they don't mean. They'll get defensive. They'll become stubborn. They'll need time to process what happened.
That's part of being human.
The goal isn't to never argue.
The goal is to learn how to come back from an argument without trying to destroy everything you built together.
Give yourself time before making a decision.
Take a walk.
Put your phone down.
Sleep on it.
Let the anger disappear before you decide what something really means.
Because you shouldn't make a life-changing decision during the five minutes when you're the most emotional.
And this doesn't mean you should tolerate everything or stay somewhere that consistently hurts you. There are situations where walking away is necessary. There are boundaries that should never be ignored.
But not every disagreement is a reason to leave.
Sometimes the person you're angry with is still the person you love.
Sometimes the person who frustrated you yesterday will be the same person making you laugh tomorrow.
That's why communication matters.
Instead of saying, "Maybe we should just end this," try saying, "That really hurt me. Can we talk about it?"
Instead of trying to win the argument, try to understand each other.
Because relationships aren't about finding someone who never makes you angry.
They're about finding someone with whom you can work through the anger.
So before you walk away, ask yourself one simple question:
"Am I making this decision because it's truly what I want, or because I'm hurting right now?"
Sometimes, giving yourself a little time is all it takes to see things differently.
Don't let one bad moment erase a thousand good ones.
Feel your emotions.
Respect them.
But don't let a temporary feeling make a permanent decision for you.
