When you're feeling stressed, the Bible can offer comfort and guidance. Here are some of the most well-known and comforting Bible verses for stress:

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Psalm 23:1-3 "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul."

Here are some tips that might help you to manage stress:

Exercise: Regular physical activity can help to reduce stress and improve your overall mental health.

Deep breathing: Taking slow, deep breaths can help to slow down your heart rate and calm your mind.

Mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness can help you to stay focused on the present moment and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

Connect with others: Spending time with loved ones or participating in social activities can help to reduce stress and improve your overall well-being.

Get enough sleep: Aim to get 7-9 hours of sleep each night to help your body and mind recover from the day's stressors.

Practice self-care: Make time for activities that you enjoy and that help you to relax, such as reading a book, taking a bath, or practicing yoga.

Stay organized: Having a clear and organized schedule can help to reduce stress and make you feel more in control of your life.

Learn to manage your thoughts: Try to reframe negative thoughts into more positive and realistic ones.

Seek support: Don't be afraid to reach out to friends, family, or a mental health professional if you're feeling overwhelmed.

Prayer for stress:

Dear Lord,

I come to you today with a heavy heart, feeling overwhelmed and burdened by the stress and worries of life. I pray that you would give me peace in the midst of these difficult times.

I ask that you would calm my mind and soothe my soul, lifting my spirits and filling me with your hope and joy. Help me to trust in your loving care and know that you are always with me, guiding me through every challenge and sustaining me through every trial.

Give me the strength to face each day with courage, and the wisdom to make wise choices that bring honour to your name. May your grace be sufficient for me, and may I find comfort and rest in your everlasting arms.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
