The Ways Of The Wayward Woman

Feminine Fatality

By Shatara Travis Published 4 months ago • 4 min read

2 Timothy 3:6 They are the kind who worm their way into the homes of weak will women, who are burdened by sin and driven by all types of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.

THE INDEPENDENCE TRAP

The ways of the wayward woman lead to death. The definition itself states that women turn away from what is right. Meaning, there was once acknowledgement of the truth. Romans 1:25 says "They exchange the truth of God for a lie, and worship created things rather than the creator." Society paints most women as materialistic and oftentimes vain. In modern times women are striving for independence and accolades, usually achieved through job performance, social status, etc. These material and worldly possessions become trophies for women as they assert their dominance in what they perceive as a male dominated society. The narrative is often "Strong, Independent and doesn't need a man for anything". These sentiments are echoed across society in modern times. Unfortunately, this has an adverse effect that most tend to overlook. While striving for strength in the world, the woman becomes weak in her judgment. While accomplishing material status, and decorating her home with accomplishments, she leaves very little room for a man to come in and add value. Therefore, making her an easy target for weak predatory men.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 gives clear context of the deceit that overtakes an arrogant weak individual who has rejected God. It is followed by verse 6 stating "these men worm their way into the homes of weak willed women". In order for a woman to be subjected to this type of man, she must already be living in a manner that is contrary to God. Putting pride in the wrong things will cloud your judgement. A weak man adds no value to anyone, not even himself. Often looking for established women they can dominate while contributing little to nothing, he uses being a "Man" as a cloak for his lack of maturity and responsibility avoidance. These types of men are often abusive, insecure, and temperamental stemming from frustration knowing he isn't really needed. Because the woman is already on the wrong path, her burden has already begun to weigh her down. Unable to put up a fight against a situation she knows is doomed.

The more access an individual has, the more temptation is presented. As the woman explores the options her new found "freedom", shes moves deeper into deception. Drunkenness ensues. The bible warns throughout multiple scriptures, not to be drunk off too much wine, as lewdness, gossip and slander are heightened. By partaking in the fruitless conversations of verbal filth, the door to malice opens as it begins to prepare a home for more darkened spirits to occupy. Promiscuity follows. Not having to "answer" to or have a care in the world, this said "woman" may find herself in the embrace of multiple lovers. Rendering her careless in her judgement. Soon forgetting what a healthy relationship entails. The "thirst" for freedom becomes a driving force as she is now "all in" in her pursuit of "feminine freedom". There's no one around to stop this woman on her path to destruction as all of her associates are partakers of this lifestyle as well. There are no opposing views present, as this woman is caring and providing for herself. Who can question an individual who is self-sufficient? As the spirits began to gain traction, control and strength, the wayward woman continues to feed her desires that have now turned dark. Feeling empowered by the fueling of deception, rules no longer apply to this woman, nor does the former belief system of the Lord she once knew. Whatever former teachings this woman acquired involving God, Right, Wrong or Morals, are no longer valid. As this woman has found a "cheat code" that allows her to have whatever she wants whenever she wants, with the "ILLUSION" she has achieved this herself. Absence of the Lord is presence of the enemy. This woman is now full of herself, and her evil desires.

Matthew 12:43-45 When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid seeking places of rest and doesn't find it. Then it says "I will return to the house I left". When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first.

A home left unoccupied is subject to burglary, squatting, or the risk of being condemned. Burglary resulting in stolen joy, peace, and control. A complete lack of self confidence and sound judgment. Squatting meaning unwanted guest refusing to leave. Often times feeling entitled to the land they have now confiscated. Condemned meaning inhabitable for humans resulting in being torn down and not allowing any other occupants. The woman now lives alone trapped inside of her darkness while the devil runs rampant in her life. But let us remember, the spirits were invited guests as the woman played host. Sin is enticing because it presents the illusion of freedom. Most "freedom" seekers are running away from structure, rules and tradition. Titus 1:16 states that a corrupt minded individual is unfit for doing anything good. Though these people believe they are on the right path, no lasting fruit is being harvested. The sin begins to weigh them down as they attract equally corrupted partners. Eventually being defeated by their own wickedness. Accountability isn't present as that would require acknowledging a mistake was made. The proud woman can't allow herself to admit her faults as she would have to admit her false sense of freedom and judgment were all an illusion. Bitterness now dwells deep within this woman turning into hatred towards anything pure or what now represents what she once was. As she sees her essence is fading away, an unfamiliar face now stares back at her in the mirror. With no escape, her only option is to continue the brick laying process of a house that will soon collapse on her. Never believing in the power of God but only the power of herself and its worldly fruits, the woman slowly decays into nothingness.
