There is an old saying that bad news travels fast and in this day and age the same thing happens with fake news on the Internet. All across social media people share what has no truth to it. There are often reports of celebrity deaths that turn out to be hoaxes. Now false information is being spread regarding the deadly coronavirus .According to Tony Rom from The Washington Post, on Friday, only hours after Nigeria confirmed its first case of coronavirus, the trouble began. Olumide Makanjuola, a sexual-health and rights advocate, who lives in the state of Lagos, said he opened WhatsApp and was overwhelmed by a sense of panic. He found that users of the messaging service had copied, pasted and forwarded information that had no basis of truth to it.
Jenna Fail..... When you think of that name, I hope you think of fitness entrepreneur, hero and amazing person inside and out. She continues to influence people all over the world with her fitness routines, way of eating and how just amazing she is. I have been following her for almost the entire existence of my Instagram life, and I will never not follow her. She is my favorite person ever, and I never in my wildest dreams would think I would meet her. Following Jenna has been the best thing to ever happen in my fitness journey. Starting a fitness journey is something hard, and without the knowledge you have no idea what to do. Creating a fitness regiment, trying to figure out what to eat, and navigating the gym can be a stressful thing. Following Jenna helped me get out of my comfort zone since I am a full on turtle with 7 layers of shell on. Jenna helped me without even knowing she was helping. She made me realize that it takes hard work, determination and patience within yourself to get to your goals. Being patient is not my strong suit, and I wanted the results fast, but what I was getting was what needed to happen; but not what I wanted to happen...... Jenna through her instagram stories, through posting and through being a genuine person -- helped me realize that my worth was needed to be found through me not other people. Finding out that I needed to do this fitness journey for myself instead of other people really made me think back a little......I had to do this for myself because if I didn't I was not going to see the results I wanted; and Jenna helped me with self worth and finding myself. I know you are supposed to go on this journey of finding yourself by yourself but Jenna was my inspiration and I knew I needed her to help me through this. Her words of encouragement through her Instagram were genuine, and for that I am thankful. I want people to realize that most fitness people won't take the time of day to comment back to you, message you back and actually care; but Jenna does. I follow a lot of fitness people, but none are more genuine than her, and then when I saw she was going to Oktoberfest a local event from a local Nutrition shop here in town; I knew I had to go....The event at Nutrition Faktory had a little over 20 booths of different local fitness brands and by far was my favorite event I have been to. Getting to go to this was a dream come true. I was I was telling one of my friends, we were gonna have to call 911 because I would be so nervous and excited. Meeting Jenna made my absolute whole world a lot better and knowing she is just as genuine in person as she is on Instagram made it all the better. She has helped me through some of the toughest ruts of this fitness journey, and I am so thankful for her and to have met her. I am still on cloud nine from meeting her, and I want her to know it meant the absolute world to me...... Thank you Jenna, for being the most genuine and helping me through some of my biggest fitness ruts. I will always be thankful for you and your wisdom. Until we meet again, can we be best friends and I absolutely love you. I will not disappoint you in this fitness journey. Thank you for changing my life for the better.
So, there was a point last year where I had lost a bunch of weight, like around 20-30lbs, and looked a lot slimmer than I do now. I was posting a lot on my social media accounts documenting my fitness journey because I wanted others to see that if someone as normal as me, who bought a workout plan and works out for only an hour a day can do it, then they can as well.
Hey hey. Hope you all had an amazing weekend. I just went for a large grocery haul and am finally sitting down to write. As you know, I’ve been out of the Instagram haze for about a month now. When I decided to stop, deleted my account, and got it out of my sight, I started to notice a lot of changes.
His blood is boiling within him.
We have all been in the awkward stages of wanting to begin a workout regimen. Going to the gym for the first time can be very overwhelming and restarting your journey in the gym can be very scary. If you are looking for motivation or inspiration, look no further. Whether you want to lose weight, lose fat, tone up, gain strength, or just increase your endurance, these are some great women to follow.
First and foremost, I am going to start off by saying I am no fitness guru. In fact, I know the least amount about the gym lifestyle. However, that is why I am writing this article. To let every couch potato and fellow art student (who always admired the jocks in high school but had no idea what to do when it came to grinding it in the gym) know that there is some hope in losing weight, toning up or just overall becoming more healthy.
Throughout America, transgender patients are struggling due to failures in the health care system. Health care ought to be designed to be inclusive for all types of patients, but most doctors have little or no knowledge of what transgender patients need or how to understand and help them. Access to proper health care can literally be a life or death situation for some. Transgender patients require certain treatments which might include hormone therapy or surgery. These treatments can cost up to tens of thousands of dollars, which most insurance policies refuse to cover. Expenses aside, many doctors don’t have knowledge of or experience with these treatments and often see them as being elective. Patients who live in rural communities, or have no major cities nearby are often out of luck, as most transgender-friendly doctors and clinics are in major cities such as New York or Miami.
Recent trends continue to prove that more and more consumers are buying goods and services based on what they see in their social media feeds, forcing companies to adapt accordingly. Those with the chromosomal condition known as Down Syndrome have often been referred to as "angels on Earth," and the hope is that World Down Syndrome Day will raise awareness about the condition and the people who work with those with Down Syndrome.
Going out to Rockaway Beach has been on my mind for a while now ever since I heard about Buddhist Insights' new retreat center. I meditate daily and I also happen to help people see their minds by teaching meditation. I met Co-Founders of Buddhist Insights Bhante Suddhāso and Giovanna Maselli, in upstate NY when I attended their first organized weekend retreat last fall. Their mission is to connect monastic teachings with lay-people and now have a home right here in Rockaway Beach, NYC. Usually one has to travel a couple of hours to go on a get-away meditation or yoga retreat, but not anymore. Last week they hosted their first week long meditation retreat Dec. 26 - Jan. 1, 2017. Not to worry if you missed it... they are plugging away at keeping programing flowing.
