This should be a busy week. The Chariot card shows an abundance of movement and change, the Princess of Wands bright new ideas and the 5 of Swords the deconstruction of obstacles whether they're comforting or not. The amusement ride is still underway but with the reins in our hands, we have the power to direct its trajectory. Emotions and excitement (or anxiety depending on how you look at it) are high, though not beyond our control. Feelings this week are likely to resemble those of an accomplished sky diver. The risk is ever present but with training and safety protocols, the ride is like no other you could imagine.

The Center card is the Princess of Wands.

The fiery Wands reflect our ideas, our passion and our desire to create things in our lives that surpass our usual day to day norm. Though we may be facing difficult situations with health, money, relationships or inner thoughts and turmoil the ideas we come up now with are deeply rooted in our oldest what-you-want-to-be-when-you-grow-up thought processes and backed with a renewed passion to see how things could turn out. This week when faced with obstacles that just don’t seem to want to shift, the outrageous solutions are probably the right ones to rely on.

The West card is the Chariot.

Often with the Chariot there is a sensation of out of control movement. When driving on ice, if a skid begins the best course of action is to steer into the skid. It seems counterintuitive but it’s actually the best course of action. The cool thing about the Chariot is that its energy and influence allows us to not only have the wherewithal to know about turning into the skid, but the bonus knowledge that we’ve added retractable skis and air brakes to the vehicle for use in just this sort of situation. Tailored into this Major Arcana card, along with the sensation of movement, is the wisdom that the outcome is completely within our control and we have the know-how to do what we need to do, plus the confidence to use it. In this way, rather than the skid directing us, we direct the skid.

The East card is the 5 of Swords.

This is where things get a bit sticky. As we take hold of the reins of our own Chariot and begin to institute new ideas about how to make things go the way we want them to, the possibility that we will upset somebody’s apple cart is pretty high. This five asks us to take a close look at where we’ve gone wrong, what mistakes we’ve made and what things we haven’t done for fear of rolling that cart and ending up with applesauce all over the place. Things that just really haven’t been working out may choose this week to get up in our faces. Little things that have been pushed to the side in favor of the really major changes going on all over the world may show back up this week to remind us that they’re still there and they’re still unresolved. This is where we can best utilize our outlandish ideas and fall back on the wisdom we recovered by taking control of where our lives are being driven.

In Conclusion;

One of the best ways to deal with things that seem to have gone awry or gotten out of control this week is to remember that we are in control of where this ride goes. We are the Charioteers. If we encounter a patch of ice we have the wisdom to deploy the skis that we (Princess of Wands) had the bright idea to add in the first place. It’s rarely easy or comfortable to face mistakes we’ve made (those wonky, uneven fives) but this week we can use the Charioteer’s wisdom and the fiery new ideas that pop out to make things work. We got this!

Have an adventurous week.
