The Center card this week is the 7 of Wands.

This week we find success through our feminine attributes. The Seven at the center flanked by The Priestess and the Queen of Pentacles shows that the week will revolve around accessing and connecting with our strengths and winning strategies by working from our feminine side. Using the gentler and more emotion/compassion based responses to challenges or opposition we’re able to “kill ‘em with kindness”. What we’ll need to keep in mind is that kindness and gentility are not concessions nor are they a show of weakness. The courage and valor required to face aggression with understanding is considerable, not to mention it can be quite surprising to those who seek to control through manipulation and force. Often when we are strong enough to meet ferocity with a calm response the force in action, finding no opposition has no power. It’s in the confrontation that we find the target of the oncoming energy and when that target is removed by refusing to engage the energy has nothing to enforce its power on. In many martial arts practices it is the ability to use the force of your opponent. To move with that force so that it is dispelled without connecting to the target is the key.

The West card is the High Priestess.

With this card we’re shown our connection to Universe and the Divine. It represents the web of interconnectedness that spans from our deepest self to the farthest reaches of time and space. The Priestess allows us to Know that connection. The High Priest gives us the structure and actions needed to engage in and with that connection but the Priestess is the voice of the Divine that emanates from our own deep recognition of that connection. In the west position this week it shows that we can access that web of being One in order to better see the broader scope of the interactions we’re faced with. In accessing that connection to the Universe we can see beyond the challenge, question or strife that’s right up in our face. From that perspective we can clearly see the paper tiger. The frightened inner-child will hide behind the front of anger or aggression or cold disinterest as protection from facing the fears inside that caused the anger or pain to begin with. When we can open our eyes to their trauma we can see the way to heal.

The East card is the Queen of Pentacles.

Having found success with a kinder approach to confrontations and tough interactions we find ourselves feeling the responsibility for whatever outcome has emerged. This Queen is the Earth Mother, she is practical, grounded and well equipped to handle just about anything that needs to be handled. In her we may find a fair amount of stubbornness but sometimes being bullheaded can be a real plus. In the dynamic of the week our pragmatism, and no nonsense ability to respond is bolstered by knowing that it’s the kindness we were able to bring to bear against opposition that has allowed her to get on with the business of making things right. Knowing from the core that it was acceptance and gentleness that allowed things to progress and surpass petty complaints to find a more common ground gives us the tools and ability to plan a forward strategy.

In conclusion;

The week begins with a recognition of our connection to the Divine and a depth of compassion that springs from the feelings of unity and understanding. What better position to barter for solidarity? There may be many this-has-to-change interactions, from intimate to global, and I think the term “come to Jesus meeting” is rather appropriate in how we find the clarity and compassion to get things worked out. This, by no means, is about “I’m right and you’re wrong”. Aren’t the lessons of that prophet about engaging with compassion and comparison rather than contradictions and animosity? This can be a great week of healing when we recognize that our kindness is a strength and our compassion a healing bond.

Have an integrated week!

Light, Tory

TIP of the week: If we have no peace, it is because we’ve forgotten that we belong to each other. Mother Teresa
