Why do we choose yoga?

This is an interesting question.

Yoga, as an ancient practice method, is sought after by contemporary people, not because of the philosophical meaning as we think, more people are to use the body practice method in yoga, so as to participate in a fitness sport. Nowadays science changming, the fitness movement of the project is changing with each passing day, but also quite simple, interesting. But there are still so many people choose yoga as a starting fitness program which is quite difficult to get started.

I think, we choose yoga for two reasons: 1, bare hands; 2, effective.

Unlike many modern sports, yoga does not require large machines or special facilities. As long as you want, you can practice anytime and anywhere, so it has become the first choice for everyone to exercise. Secondly, yoga practice is not only effective, but also irreplaceable - it is currently the only physical practice that integrates mind and spirit into exercise, which not only makes the body healthy, but also relaxes the nervous mind. That's why people want to practice it.

Why is yoga difficult?

I believe that every first contact with yoga, will feel that those movements are aliens can do.

If there were a train, each carriage of which was made of a different material, some of iron, some of wood, some of plastic, would the train still run fast? Of course not, because faster cars that are relatively weak will break. Our bodies are the same, some places are strong, some places are weak, so a lot of movements that could have been done, but now can not be done.

So we want to understand a truth: we practice yoga, must not practice can not do the movement, or it will break like that train.

If you don't practice asanas that you can't do, won't you never be able to do them?

No. That's the magic of yoga.

We contact many other sports, more are competitive events: such as running, playing ball; The purpose of participation is clear: to fulfill the requirements of these projects. But yoga does not have any specific requirements, it only requires balance, and did not ask to do what movements.

It's a bit like an exam. If your basic skills are solid enough, you can do well on the exam without doing any practice questions. On the contrary, if the basic skills are not solid, it is useless to do more simulation exercises. Yoga is also the same, we usually practice, should be around the basic asana above, with a simple method to practice; After the foundation is consolidated to a certain extent, the relatively difficult asanas will be easy to do, then you will climb a step.

Therefore, there is no need to do asanas that cannot be done.

Think oneself is opposite video to learn, learn a bit better, do card to learn with teacher again.

This should be the heart of the majority of beginners. In fact, I am also from a beginner who knows nothing, step by step to today, so for everyone afraid to spend money in vain mood very understanding.

There is an old Chinese saying that goes, "The master leads the way, and the cultivation begins in the individual."

When we want to do something, the most important thing is to cross the threshold of "nothing", that is, the process from "nothing" to "something".

When we know nothing about yoga, when we are most malleable, it is important to choose a good teacher to introduce yourself. If you learn well at this time, not only get twice the result with half the effort, it is very likely that you can learn from the teacher, not only save effort, but also save money very! I know many practitioners, because of the wrong practice in the beginning of the physical injury, and spend a lot of time and money to cure the injury, or even lose confidence in yoga; Not finding the right way to practice, and for a long time no progress is also a lot of people.

I really want to learn, but I don't have the money.

Would you believe me if I said it cost me next to nothing to learn yoga?

My first teacher taught me for nearly a year and gave me two books instead of money. In the growth of the road, but also get the guidance of several teachers, did not receive money. The so-called dripping of grace, when yongquan phase reported. Someone will do something for you only if you deserve it. So, it doesn't matter how much money you have, it's your attitude. I have a very open attitude towards my students in most cases and often give them Pointers. There aren't many tips, but if you go back and practice, you can solve most of them.

Moreover, if you are willing to spend thousands on a new iPhone, or a bag, or a nice dress, but don't want to spend the money to improve your health, how can you say you don't have money? In my opinion, iPhone, bag, clothes will not make your life better, but yoga will make you healthy, cheerful, happy, will make your life better.

It depends on what you think.

How to find a good teacher?

This is indeed a difficult problem for a beginner. A very good teacher, the fees are relatively high; But on the other hand, some teachers who are very expensive are not necessarily of high level. There is a very interesting phenomenon in the yoga industry, that is, the more the level of the teacher is not good, but the more bull. On the other hand, truly competent teachers are humble.

The surest way to find a good teacher is to ask a friend who has practice experience. But don't ask the teacher. It's rude. I often encounter students who, on their first contact, say to me, "Teacher, can you introduce me to someone who can teach better?" Listen to this words in the heart really uncomfortable extremely, have not met, abandon I teach of not good enough? And I was so eager to help and answer questions, and then I had to find another teacher, and it really hurt.

If you don't have experienced friends around you, try taking classes from different teachers. But be careful to pick the course that suits you best and makes the most progress, not the one you like best. Because abecedarian has not reached the state of physical and mental balance, often can pay close attention to, the beautiful movement that loves oneself to do, and the movement that repels oneself not good at. In fact, do not do good actions, just because this aspect needs to be strengthened, but to pay more attention to. The teacher who can touch the "pain point" in practice is the real good teacher.

One more piece of advice for all beginners

There are many kinds of yoga, none of which is the best, only the most appropriate; When you feel comfortable practicing a particular genre, just prove that the current state fits the genre. Don't make the mistake of thinking that one genre is better than the others, and it's best not to get too caught up in it. Integrated practice is more effective than single practice. If you feel that different genres are in conflict with each other, or that different teachers are teaching things that are in conflict with each other, this is actually a good opportunity to give yourself some space to think.

As an experienced practitioner, you will be able to see what you need most. Until then, follow your teacher and don't rush to success.

Have a good time Namaste!
