We are always surprised by a large number of diets published on the market and the fact that new diets continue to be invented and put up for sale to consumers.

Most people have tried at least one diet. Some have tried all the diets on the market. However, I have noticed that there is a key principle that is found in all diets and talks about healthy eating.

For a happy and healthy life, your diet plays a crucial role and we believe in the saying "you are what you eat".

What you eat gets into your body and therefore affects the internal organs and chemical interactions that take place. What you eat can affect the way you feel, it can influence your thinking, decisions, and habits, it can also affect the way your internal organs operate… therefore it affects their health and longevity.

A healthy diet ensures the care of the internal organs and last but not least, a healthy diet makes you feel better and helps you to progress better in daily life.

So what are the key topics when it comes to healthy eating and dieting? We are convinced that you already know the answer! It is simply what is presented in most magazines, TV shows, friends, family… everywhere!

Eat as many plant foods as possible!

Nature knows best! Whatever comes from the earth is good for us. Fruits and vegetables are divine. We all know that they are very good, so why not consume them in larger quantities!

Bread, cereals, rice, and pasta come from cereals such as wheat, oats, rice, rye, barley, millet, and corn, all of which are good for us. The most important thing is to choose the food group. By choosing, for example, flour or whole grains, you choose the best way to provide your body with more fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

For a healthy life consume:

  • Fruits fruits
  • Legumes
  • Bread
  • Cereals
  • Rice
  • Easter
  • Vegetables

Consume moderate amounts of animal foods

Foods of animal origin, such as meat, fish, eggs, milk, yogurt, or cheese, should all be eaten in moderation. Walnuts and seeds are also included in this category of food and provide significant amounts of protein, iron, and vitamin B12. Red meat is a particularly important source of iron and zinc and should normally be eaten about 3-4 times a week.

Without it, iron deficiency may occur, which can have a significant impact on your overall health and well-being. A key to this food segment is to make sure you choose lean, low-fat meat and eat processed meat as little as possible, such as sausages.

Milk, yogurt, and cheese are excellent sources of calcium. They are also a good source of protein, riboflavin, and vitamin B12. These foods do not usually come with large amounts of fat, so the key to this segment of food is to choose varieties with as little fat as possible.

Consume: milk, meat, eggs

  • Meat
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Yogurt
  • Cheese
  • Nuts & Seeds

Consume small amounts of fats and oils

When it comes to healthy eating, fats and oils are not usually on the agenda. However, they are good for consumption, even if you may not realize that most foods already contain fat. In most cases, it is not necessary to consume added fats and oils.

Adding unsaturated fats to your diets, such as olive or avocado oil, can have positive effects - lowering cholesterol levels - however, these should be consumed in moderation.

Consume:

  • Nuts & Seeds
  • Olive oil

Stay away from processed foods

Notice that the above is largely all that Mother Nature has to offer. We are genetically structured to eat these foods and have been consuming plants and animals for millions of years. What has happened in the last century? Processed food has invaded the markets.

What is the result? The "epidemic" of obesity! Processed foods contain all kinds of fats, sugars, and preservatives, added to increase their shelf life and obviously for better taste. Therefore, eating Big Mac and consuming Coca-Cola every day will not have a positive effect on your health.

Eat diversified for a healthy diet

Eat a wide variety of foods and the positive effect on your health will be immediately visible. If we continue to eat the same fruits, vegetables, and other foods, we lose nutrients and the benefits of others. Make sure you "mix" your daily, weekly, or even monthly diet well, depending on the time of year… It has great, positive effects on your health.

Beware of alcohol!

A pretty difficult restriction for many of us! Alcohol is great from time to time, but if you've made a habit of it, you might want to reconsider. Alcohol consumption harms your health, both in the short and long term.

Red wine is said to have positive effects on health but should be consumed in moderate amounts. We mustn’t drink regularly and in excess, to cause long-term damage to our health.

Drink as much water as possible

The human body is made up of 60% water, so no doubt consuming as much fluid as possible will have a positive effect on your health. It is said that we need 8 glasses of water a day. If you do sports or you are in an area where it is very hot, you should consume much more water for good hydration. If you are thirsty, or even hungry, drink a glass of water and you will feel the benefits!

The problem that most people face is that these principles of healthy eating must be followed by a special ingredient. What is this?

"The most important ingredient for a healthy diet is the ingredient of commitment and discipline."

After reading the above, I'm sure you said to yourself, "I already knew all this." But how much do we take into account the discipline of healthy eating? If you are on a trip called "Happiness", then you know that healthy habits are essential.

Your life is full of choices, and what you eat is your choice. If you're on the road all day, can you buy a cheeseburger quickly or opt for a chicken sandwich? The options are always there and the choice is always yours. Behind choosing the right foods is personal commitment and discipline, and these are essential for a healthy life.

Remember, the above is information for those who lead a healthy life. If you have a well-established goal and you need to change your diet, if you want to tone your body or lose weight, my advice is to consult a nutritionist.
