Writing On Medium Pays Better Than Dividends, Vocal Not So Much-so far.
Comparing Vocal and Medium on payouts and culture-which is a better investment? I'm 10 months into writing on the Medium platform. It cost $50 dollars to "play" for the year. I've been with Vocal about 5 months. I choose the Vocal+ option of $9.99 a month, so I've paid about $50.00 so far.

My Vocal Journey so far
After I left my sales job last year, writing took center stage in my life. My mornings begin with a cup of coffee and a pencil flying across a journal. Once the kids are on their buses, my laptop opens, and fingers eagerly tap the keyboard, releasing my ideas. My 2021 writing goal was to complete my novel and write every single day. I was on pace to finish a rough draft until I discovered Vocal this past July.

Bringing back the Victorian Popularity of the Serialized story
When I was a kid, and I used to visit my grandparents, I remember reading serialized fiction stories in the newspaper - I seem to remember things like Charles Dickens or some such, and I used to love waiting for the next part of the story. This was done way back in Victorian times, and authors such as Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame serialized the adventures of the fictional detective in The Strand Magazine. It was because of these chapter-by-chapter releases of the story in every issue that the stories of Sherlock and Watson became so popular. It wasn’t just Sherlock that became popular with the piecemeal release of stories but many other famous authors.

MY YEAR OF FORTUNE: WHY YOU NEED TO WRITE FOR VOCAL MEDIA
As we grow in life we begin to look for ways to earn income. Not only one source of income but several incomes. That is passive income where you will be sleeping and still get money. As I keep searching on the Internet I encounter a number of them and keep writing articles just to see it is true that I will earn the income. As people normally say a hand that doesn't work deserve not to be fed. It’s interesting to me that as technology keep the economy modernized, we actually have “great gain” but when you are not on the right path you will be lost. We all have different views. I’ve always wanted to accomplish more, better, faster. But here’s the crazy thing: I’ve experienced the greatest gain when I was content regardless of the outcome. It’s okay to be driven to succeed. My father once said a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children. I always keep meditating on this advice to succeed. I one day read about vocal media online. I decided to enter just to be sure. I started 2019 though don't normally write to them but started enjoying some benefit.
