So You Want to Work on a Cruise?
It’s not surprising how many people want to work on a cruise ship. The idea of living and working on a boat, sailing out to sea and seeing new places, has a certain kind of romance about it. Just knowing you could do that sounds exciting. Everyone wants to jump on board.

I am a filmmaker. A storyteller. When I came across this amazing story in November of 2018, I immediately started to adapt it for the screen. This is a story of life among the chaos of death in December of 1944. A few young soldiers are saved by the universality language and care of kindness and love. As a writer, many times these characters just start whispering in my ear, touching my heart.

You're watching an episode of a police or legal procedural. The court case is at a pivotal moment, and a single word is at issue. The judge asks for something to be read from the record.

I don’t know if this is a surprise to anyone, but people are constantly throwing up at the theatre. If we go a day with someone not throwing up, it is a miracle. Luckily, we are not the ones to clean that mess up. Even if we had to, I could not do it—weak stomach. There are thousands of stories I could tell you, like that one time some lady decided she wasn’t going to wait to in line to use the restroom, so she did all her business in the lobby… gross, I know.
What Working at a Theatre Is Really Like
I've been working at a theatre for about three years now, supporting myself through college. It's easy, flexible hours, and I get to watch some great shows. No, I do not work at a movie theatre. I get to watch shows like Dear Evan Hansen, Kinky Boots, etc... Everything about the job is easy but the most difficult part of the job is dealing with the patrons. I don’t know what it is about the theatre and the people who go to them, but it’s not fun.
Where to Start? Being a Writer Turned Vlogger
As a writer, it's important to harness every aspect of content creation and digital marketing. If you can do it and learn how to do it well, it'll benefit you in the long run. Since I did a fair bit of video editing in my student days for fun, I decided to give vlogging a whirl. I'm still pretty new to it and learning along the way, but I do have a few beginner tips to share.
Leigh FisherPublished 5 years ago in Journal5 Ways Working Retail Can Make You Hate the Holidays
1. You hear the same songs over and over. Every retail store has a certain playlist that plays on repeat 24/7. But as soon as Halloween is over, that playlist turns into a Christmas playlist and you either hear songs by Mariah Carey or some guys from the 1950s. At some point you find yourself singing the songs even though you don't want to. Other times you're just doing your job with a soulless stare and a nosebleed happens. The worst part about the holiday playlist is that it plays for November AND December. Then you start to hear it in your dreams.... "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" distantly echoing in your sleep... you can't escape it.
briana okayPublished 5 years ago in JournalTop 5 Tips to Getting an Awful Customer Service or Never Do If You Want a Good Experience
Tip 1) Be as abusive as you want, swear language is a must. Customer service advisers are OBVIOUSLY there to receive abuse and it is an absolute vital part of their job. If you looking to receive an awful customer experience you have to swear. This way you will appear as a customer from hell and even the most patient customer service worker will not want to deal with you. They will have a chat with their manager but will aim to do absolute minimum for you. If you are on pay as you go phone you will even get an extra bonus and get that massive bill at the end of the month. You are welcome.
Life of a First Responder
So I decided this would be the best way to get things off of my chest and out of my mind. I have never wrote a paper or anything of this nature so excuse the grammar.

Once upon a time, when I was a child, I wanted to grow up to become a mathematician. I dreamed of collecting data that could be used to solve mundane problems that could be key to a better society. My mom talked me out of it, she explained to me that teaching others how to count and measure wasn't going to pay for my bills—I wasn't going to be four years old forever, nor was she going to last me forever. Life wasn't a bunch of books I could store under my armpit and shelve whenever I didn't feel like reading it. Life was complicated and I didn't know better.
Greg SanchezPublished 6 years ago in JournalLife as a Ballet Dancer
It’s always really awkward at family parties when that one aunt, who isn’t really your aunt, but you call your aunt just out of convenience, asks you what school you’ve decided on or what major you’ve chosen, and you have to tell her you haven’t done either. Instead, you’ve pursued your passion she thought you’d grow out of and now have a full-time job as a ballet dancer—something you’ve exhaustively trained and sacrificed much for. Yet, the most awkward part is when she responds with, “But what’s your actual job?”
