Most Useful Gifts for Entrepreneurs
Crafting a business is no walk in the park, but neither is choosing a good gift for that entrepreneurial friend of yours. Don't stress over it too much, it doesn't have to be something super worthwhile and meaningful. While assisting in their business is an obvious, yet overused notion, one must turn to their intellect when shopping for the intellectually savant.

Getting the Best from Your Writer's Group
Here's why you may want to join a writer's group. Working with other writers can really help! Being an author is a solitary business. No matter how you do it, the job involves spending hours on your own getting the words down on the page. A writer's group can make a huge difference. An activity which can be very isolating actually introduces you to other people with the same interests and problems. But not everyone really benefits from membership. There are ways in which it can stifle your creativity and kill your ambition. It takes a little care to avoid this.

The Benefits of NaNoWriMo
November is National Novel Writing Month. The goal is simple: complete your first novel draft within a month. Target word count: 50,000 words. I can tell you that this is a lot easier said than done. It's a challenge for any writer, whether you're a budding beginner or an excellent expert, this challenge is a real challenge. Whether you reach that target word count or not before December, you can learn some valuable skill sets as a writer. As they always say, it's not the winning but the taking part that counts.

Overcoming Procrastination
Well... I, uh... Oh, I think Seinfeld reruns are on now. I don’t have anything going on Thursday, so I’ll probably sit down and write something then. Of course, Thursdays are when I like to go jogging in the park, and after jogging I like eating Chinese food, which makes me sleepy.

The Entrepreneur Lifestyle
Waking up in the morning is a blessing because no day is promised to us. Every day that I wake up I feel great and I love that. Being an entrepreneur has given me a chance to find out what it is like to run my own little work world. From the moment I get up until the time that I go to bed, I am in control of my life! I start each day with a few personal moments but then I start my workday. There is always a movie on when I write my itinerary for the day. I tend to loosen up when I watch a movie first, so I do. It is then onto business: petty cash check, phone calls on projects, email returns, app usage and what projects to start or finish. I always try to remember to do the most important project first then, but that does not always happen. There are many times when I will choose the project not finished from the day before instead. Being in control of what I want and need to do is a thrill for me. It was not always like this as I have worked for others companies.

Must Have Gear for Working Remotely
As we rely more and more on the internet, people working from home is becoming more common and less of an anomaly. Many companies, especially smaller ones, are eliminating the office altogether. Why spend a ton on rent in a swanky Manhattan office when most work is done through the internet?

Adventures in Book Writing
Have you ever found yourself so inspired to create something in a way you have never tried before? I've started a new venture recently... and by new I mean it is an unexplored and brand new project that I have been inspired to do. I have always been a book lover... novels, fairy tales, historical fiction, etc. I really enjoy diving into other worlds (looking at you Potterheads, Whovians and anyone who has ever fallen down a rabbit hole)! It's an idea I've had for a long time that I've built up in my head and now I'm making it happen.

Pros & Cons of Working from Home
Since I was 17-years-old. I have had every kind of job you can think of. I like to dip my toes. What can I say? I now work strictly from home, with two jobs under employers while I write as well. When people hear you work from home, they get a little green, especially at the thought of changing from pajamas to sweats. (Or just staying in pjs.) Everyone's situation is different and, therefore, sometimes remote work is the best option. I am a single mother of twins, so being able to keep an eye on the home and kids is of top priority. Before you make the decision to work from home, here are some pros and cons to consider.
