Glenn BushinskiPublished 6 years ago in JournalTop 10 Most Comfortable Chairs for Your Home Office
There are a lot of pros and cons to working from home, but if do decide to permanently eliminate commuting from your life, a few items are necessary for it to work (pun certainly intended). One of them, and arguably the most important, is the chair you will be using. I occasionally work from home whenever the weather decides to be incredibly extra and does not permit my office to open. My introduction to making my living completely online began in 1996. I was a single mother and struggling to make ends meet and win "Mother of the Year" award amongst my friends and family. I never got that award from anyone, just a lot of opinions on what I should have done, what I needed to be doing, etc., etc., but in putting in the time and overtime of being a parent, especially a single one, I learned one valuable lesson- where there is a will, there is a way.

Working From Home
I love writing. It brings me joy every time I begin to write things down. I've always wanted to publish a book, create songs, and even become a ghostwriter. This has always been my dream. As I grew older, I had to put my passion for writing on the back burner and journey into the working industry. I would have stuck around, but I just couldn't, for I knew that there was so much more for me to do and accomplish. I knew having a regular 9-5 job just wouldn't cut it. I was tired, miserable, and bored, so I got out of the rat race and decided to create some ideas in which I could generate income from home.

The Art of Independence
There are a significant number of work from home opportunities in the form of customer service jobs. Some of the companies that have pioneered the process may not sound familiar, but in recent years the trend has caught on. In fact, there are some very established companies that hire people to do certain aspects of customer service work from home. They include big names like Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft. The type of work can sometimes differ, but again, it usually comes down to answering calls from a laptop or PC and helping customers. The pay for these jobs starts around 10/hr. Some will pay more and almost all of them will offer a decent number of hours; 25-60 depending on the company and the specific position.

The pressure to land contacts, jobs, and make connections intensifies when our own livelihood is at stake.
