Vocal, my love, what the hell is going on? The new editor is fab, but this update is a bit of a mess. Where are the reads? I don't doubt it is just a few teething issues, and you are doing your best to work through it. I can only imagine the amount of coffee and energy drinks you guys are consuming.

But you're stressing me out, babe. I'm already pulling my hair because of House of the Dragon; I don't need this as well. None of us does.

Where are the reads? Where are the READS?

I'm sorry; it's been a long week, and it's only Monday. Life is getting the better of me, and this update does not bode well with my autistic brain.

I am but a simple woman who enjoys structure and routine. I like salami with cheese, cocktail sausages with sweet chilli hummus, and yes, I change my room around every 2 weeks and get annoyed at the supermarket when they do it.

But this is a BIGGGGG update, and my ego needs validation, Vocal! I need to know I am not going batshit bonkers over here!

Well, I am - still.

Am I simply screaming into the void? Probably!

Have you seen the state of it out there? I can't Adam and Eve it!

I've been trying my best to keep my mind occupied with other tasks. Otherwise, I become agitated. I've been working on my book I've developed over four years. Funnily enough, that one started as a direct inspiration from one of your challenges. The mysterious package, I think it was?

Anyway, I'm trying to build up my socials, but I fear I am doing terribly. I don't really do short videos. So I'm trying my best. I am also trying to get my long-form videos on YouTube. I've posted three so far, not great, not terrible. There is no upload schedule; it's playing on my mind.

Sorry, shameless drop:

And obviously plenty of research; without the research, what is a writer?

But with all this, and I ask, where are my reads, Vocal?

I'm reaching a point in my life where panic is setting in. I am 29 and come next March, I'll be the big 3-0. Wtf. I feel like time escapes me and I have failed. Yet, the new lines on my forehead and eyebags beg to differ.

Why? Just why?

Yes, lots to think about.

On top, I have two tiny humans. One of whom has really found his voice. He was nonverbal for the first three and a bit years of his little life. Now, he's letting us know exactly how he feels, what he wants, what he thinks and who he really is; it's beautiful to witness. He's a big fan of Chester Zoo, loves numbers, space, and dinosaurs, of course.

My youngest, my goodness. What a rebel. I apologise now for his future antics, because I know they're coming. Aged 2 and he is fearless, musically inclined and absolutely loves the colour orange. He most certainly has a voice, and he isn't afraid to use it.

I earned my new lines, thanks to these two. I will say, I am exhausted.

So Vocal, where are my reads?

For the love of the writer gods, give me my reads back, along with everyone else's too!

I don't know if I can take it!

It's driving me up the wall, along with my 2-year-old who won't stop trying to climb it!

Sorry, I got a bit shouty there.

I'll do better.

How is it only Monday, and now there's a heat wave? I am crashing the fuck out. AHHHHH!

I am British, ill-equipped for - hell, is it? Because it bloody feels like it!

Vocal, all I ask... where are my reads?

UPDATE: They hath returned 😆
