“A.O.E.S.” stands for Average Ordinary Everyday Superhero. The story follows the everyday, at home, off duty, life of 4 superheroes and their families. All 4 families stay in the same apartment building. While not saving the world, they must raise their children, spend time with friends, and keep their secret identities secret, which can be a struggle sometimes with the neighbors seeing them coming and going, and try to be normal everyday people.

Ocean Man has a secret under water entrance to the apartment.

A reoccurring character is Rat Man who has the secret identity of Wayne Adams. He’s the spoof of Batman. He has no powers but has plenty of gadgets. He is the nerdy Steve Urkel type neighbor who always shows up unannounced and unwanted. Wayne Adams is filthy rich and lives in the mansion down the street.

Pilot Episode:

The show starts off with the song, “Everyday Superhero”, by Smash Mouth. Only on the pilot does the entire song play. Afterwards, only the course plays. While the song is playing, each of the main four characters are fighting bad guys. Once all are defeated, the return to their homes and take on their secret identities.

They all complain about how much of a rough day they had. Laura Parkway ask if the party is still on. A party was planned for that Saturday. They invited several other superheroes. Each of the 4 families help prepare for the party, bringing food to the roof top of the apartment building. As the party is in full force, Wayne Adams shows up. The party comes to a stop while Wayne wonder why he wasn’t invited. Reluctantly, they allow him to stay.

The superheroes tend to avoid him. While he does enjoy the food and music, he’s not picked to join any of the games. When he gets up and dances, nerd style, everyone else sits down. Things like this continue. Little by little, the party moves down to the Clarkson’s apartment. When he realizes that he’s the only one there, he goes to the apartment and finds nobody there. Invisa-Girl, one of the invited superheroes, turned everybody invisible. Wayne pulls out his inferred goggles and sees them just before Invis-Girl changes the spectrum to include inferred. Most try to sneak out undetected, but they bump into him. Those left turn back visible with sheepish look on their face.

Kent apologizes and let him know that they were only inviting people with superpowers. Since he was just a gadget man, he wasn’t invited. He’s upset that they don’t view him as one of them. He tries to prove his superhero abilities everybody apologizes. He accepts their apologies and says, “Let’s get this party going.” Just then, Rick Mason, aka Pigeon, Rat Mans sidekick, comes from the back and say, “Did you get rid of him yet. Boy, that man…..” Their eyes meet and the show goes off playing the course of the theme song.

Each episode will end with some type of funny twist. The show is not about the superheroes saving the world. This only takes place in the opening song. The show is about their everyday lives while not saving the world. What do superheroes do while not being a hero? A.O.E.S. will have you cracking up laughing as you find out.
