Tiffany Haddish Revealed How Sweet Treat Help Her in to Maintains Sobriety

The actress revealed she keeps a sweet treat on hand to resist drinking.

Tiffany Haddish is sharing insights into her sobriety journey.

On Friday, May 31, the comedian discussed her commitment to sobriety while attending various events. She was hosting the She Ready Foundation's A Night Under the Stars adult prom in Los Angeles.

"First of all, I don't crave it," Haddish, 44, said about alcohol.

The "Girls Trip" actress mentioned she always carries a sweet treat to fend off any temptation for an alcoholic drink.

"I always have a little piece of candy, a Jolly Rancher or something," she explained. "I just drink a ginger beer with a splash of cranberry juice. That’s my go-to."

Haddish previously explained that the 80s-themed party for her She Ready Foundation is for adults who never had the chance to attend prom. She elaborated on this during an appearance on Sherri Shepherd's talk show "Sherri."

"I know people who never got to go [to prom] because nobody asked them or because they were gay and back in the day, they couldn’t go with the person they really wanted to," she further explained.

According to the She Ready Foundation's website, funds raised from the event will support children and young adults by providing job skills programs, scholarships, and resources, helping to break generational cycles for a transformative journey.

In April, Haddish revealed she had been sober and celibate for at least six months following her arrests on suspicion of DUI in Georgia and Los Angeles. Despite her world "falling apart," she shared that the experience taught her valuable life lessons.

“I haven’t had a drink since [the incident]. When I reflect on my life, every crazy incident involved someone, including myself, having alcohol in their system," she said at the time.

Haddish suggested that others might also benefit from cutting out alcohol, stating, “This is my challenge to people. Stop drinking for six months and see how your life changes."

"You’ll get your fit body back, your relationships will improve, and you’ll stop dealing with people who aren’t good for you," she added.

The Quran - Chapter An-Najm : 57 - 58

The approaching ˹Hour˺ has drawn near.

None but Allah can disclose it.

أَزِفَتِ الْآزِفَةُ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ اللَّـهِ كَاشِفَةٌ (The Imminent (Hour) has approached. [ 53:57] There is no one, beside Allah, to remove it...53:57-58). The verb ` azifa is used in the sense of qaruba which means to draw near.

Azifah is the feminine active participle from the verb azifa and it refers to the Imminent Event.

In other words, the Imminent Event has drawn near, referring to the Day of Resurrection.

No one besides Allah can prevent it from happening, nor does anyone know when it will happen, except Him.

The imminence of Resurrection is in relation to the age of the entire world.

The Ummah of Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is right at the end of it near the Day of Judgment.
