What are you seeking?

The breeze that had been gently flowing as they shared breakfast suddenly ceased. His dark brown eyes stared so deeply into, and beyond hers. He leaned towards her, his voice was barely audible as he spoke those four words that she now replayed.

What are you seeking?

There had been no hesitation in her answer. She had always known this to be what she was seeking. From the youngest age. A quest which had only risen in intensity since.

Love, she had answered. True love.

She returned his question immediately, wondering as to whether it would match her answer. Surely it would? What else could possibly be worthy of seeking in life? To her mind, there was nothing higher.

Was it possible that this seemingly spiritual man was actually seeking something lesser? Wealth? Power? Status? She admired his question greatly. Especially for much it was capable of revealing about a person.

As she vowed to remember this question to use with others in the future, he revealed his answer. An answer which had proved to be far more curious than she could possibly have imagined and it was strongly replaying on her mind today.

Immortality.

She remembered how that word from his lips had activated her.

Knowingly or unknowingly, he had just handed her what felt like the final piece of a lifelong puzzle. The piece which fit so perfectly, so snugly and immediately clicked together with so many others.

It was the centrepiece of connection for all of her lifelong studies.

Philosophy. Health. Healing. Love.

He had indeed found an existential quest that was of higher value than hers. For his was the step beyond hers. She immediately realised that what each of them was seeking was actually the same thing. For through true love was immortality.

Immortality is a consequence of true love.

Of course we were built to be immortal. Just as Mother Earth was built to be. Ever evolving. Ever regenerating. Ever healing. And yet, she was dying. Just as us humans are dying.

She immediately understood it all. All of life. All of death. All of love and fear. The energies. What religions were attempting to teach. She already understood how people was so heavily poisoned and disconnected from themselves, from the earth, from each other. Which is why they had no awareness of this at all.

How could we collectively forget that we are the Gods? That we are designed to continually regenerate when living in love?

The severity of their attachment trauma had plunged them all so very deeply into fear. The frequency of which was so great that humankind had lost all true understanding of love. The fear was so powerful it had eroded and decayed their health. And without health, they had become mortal.

And unless she could find her true match, she would also be condemned to die in this poisoned, sinking ship alongside everyone else.

She finally understood the why of her own lifelong quest.

She hadn’t been seeking love for love’s sake. She had been driven by a far deeper knowing. She knew the truth. The secret that had been coded into her from birth.

She knew exactly who she was and why she was here. And it was now time. It was time to wake everyone else up.

Not me about to cry reading this. You have such a soft and tranquil tone to your writing that reminds me of my mamier, who passed recently. Beautifully written and sobering to be reminded, however like you said even more amazing to be reminded yet again. I had a similar conversation with someone special to me, standing under the stars in a flowing river where he said "this world would never be enough for you" but he laughed and i knew it would be okay.

  • We have definitely forgotten why we're here but it's all there in our subconscious mind. It's all a matter of whether we access it or not. Also, I have a tough time grasping the concept of mortality here. If you don't mind, please can you dumb it down for me? 😅 Because I don't understand how could we be immortal.
