All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
The Healer and The Vampire
At first I thought it was really cute how cocky she seemed to be for a girl. I thought that the little grumpy moods were easy to overcome, and that through love those would soften. But the truth is, there were plenty of red flags, even previous to those thoughts, after moving in together. When we decided to move in together she went back and forth at the last minute. To the point that I finally said, no I don’t think this is right. Eventually she convinced me she just had cold feet. I was going to be moving to a completely new place four hours from where I was. It was the first one of many red flags.

A Love More Inclusive. Top Story - April 2019.
I would like to preface this, with the understanding that I am in no way trying to put down romantic love. Romantic love is magical, and wonderful, and when reciprocated in a healthy way, can be very fulfilling. In this piece, all I am meaning to convey is that there are also other types of magical, wonderful, healthy ways to love, that have nothing to do with romance. If you are interested in reading my takes on romantic love feel free to do so Here.

Problems with Our Instinctive Expectations of Love
Even though I am still young to be thinking about the big "I love you." the movies on TV are subconsciously altering my view on love. Yes, I am guilty of watching 'romantic' comedies with these undeniable cute scenes, while being perfectly conscious that it isn't realistic. But while Disney movies and Netflix movies show two people finally realising they're actually in love with each other, I begin to question whether that is possible for me. I feel like these fictional movies are putting a slight hinderance on my love path. -- Is that weird?--

Do Long Distance Relationships Work?
I remember when I first started talking to him, almost all of my friends said this isn’t going to work out, he lives too far and all that. To be more precise, my boyfriend lives in New York and I live in Canada, on the west coast so basically on the other side of the world.

The Walk to Anjolie
Part 1 Be alone for a while. He’ll find you. Did you ask God about him? Don’t be tied down. All these thoughts from my audience rang in my ears as I reflected on how I got here. I iced my neck with a cold pack I stole out the freezer and took the long stroll back to the home that I shared with my bipolar boyfriend. He had one of his ‘moods’ today and my neck was the one to blame for it. As I near the home I remembered how this all began.

Learning Love
No one was ever taught how to love, and no one really can define the meaning of it; everyone has their own definition of how it should be and signs of it. It was difficult for me to understand, until I had something that happened to me in 2018. I was single my whole life and I truly wanted to learn more about myself, so I packed my bags and told myself I'm going to travel somewhere without a destination or a care in the world—it's a little corny yeah, but thanks to that, I was able to meet a woman who then changed me. And from that, I was able to learn more about the word, "Love," as well as more about myself.

Diary of a Dying Girl (Pt. 4)
ALWAYS, BUT NOT FOREVER I've loved you for so long that even my bones remember. It's about time that I write about you. You are a movement, an entire emotion. It's overwhelming to think about you. And I've told my lies about us, I know. And what I can't understand is why you unknowingly play right into them. I'm wrong in so many ways, but I've buried it. And I think the recipients of my tall tales have long forgotten.

Love Is a Weapon
There’s something in this life that I wish I never had to find out the hard way. No one warned me about this, no one told me about this weapon. We talk about it like it’s nothing, we search for it like it’s our one destination, we long for it like an addiction. We make songs about it, we have a holiday for it, we encourage everyone to spread it everywhere. L O V and E are the letters we all know too well. But do we actually know love?
