friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Dealing With Betrayal
I had a good friend once. A friend I grew up with. There was even a time I considered him to be one of my closest friends. Out of everybody I knew, he was someone I held a great deal of respect for, and I always believed he felt the same. That is, until a few weeks ago.

Frenemy
In life, everyone faces their fair share of challenges. Sometimes, those challenges come in the form of frenemies. What's a frenemy? A frenemy is someone you trust and care about, who also seems to have it out for you. They're not just a mean person on the street who you've never met before—they're someone you thought was on your side. Someone who knows what your deepest vulnerabilities are, and isn't afraid to exploit them or spread rumours about you behind your back. It can feel like an especially deep betrayal when a friend becomes your enemy. The problem is that sometimes the people involved don't even realize what's happening until they've lost the friendship forever.

Here Come the Sun
The times of the late 1950’s to the end of the 1960’s interwoven with my friends and family input my memory files with treasures that some may never know, they were mixed in a giant melting-pot called school. In 1965, June 17th to be exact, I graduated from West Bridgewater High School.

It's okay for friends to be broken up
I've always longed for a best friend. I was not a fan because there weren't many people available to be my friend. Because I was the quiet, "weird" kid, it wasn't easy to be liked by everyone. Because I changed schools each year like clockwork, I was always the "new kid". That led me to a few "friends" on the surface that were only acquaintances, but I realized that no one was better than anyone else because I didn't have any friends.

Three things I learned reconnecting with old friends
I’ll start with a confession — I’ve never been good about keeping in touch with people. For one reason or another, physical separation from a person usually leads to me losing touch with them. Given that I just started grad school this past fall in the middle of a truly bizarre time in the world, the past few years have seen many life transitions that have created plenty of separation and led to plenty of moments where I’ve lost touch with a friend.

Your Wife Decides to get Implants…
Six months ago, my friend Brad called me out of the blue and wanted us to catch up. I thought that was weird. Brad and I grew more and more apart once he got married. Don't get me wrong, we were still friends, but as college roommates, we were best buds. We would call each other daily. Every Thursday night was Ladies Night, and we would always hang out at our favorite college bar. It was called ‘The Library.’ Every college student loved that bar for one primary reason. You can be honest with your parents whenever they ask, “where are you going, ” or “ Where were you last night?” I always answered my mother with a straight, guiltless tone, “At the Library.”

It Is Not Hard…
Just like anything else in this world being a good person takes work. But it is far from impossible and could quite possibly be one of the easiest tasks someone could take on. Often, it simply involves tweaking how you already behave or live, by just a bit. Or many may be surprised that they are already exuding the habits of a good person, and they do not even realize it. Here are some tell-tale signs of a good person; where do you rank?

Goofy, Honest, Bold
He came to my church as the associate pastor when I was fifteen. He immediately started working with the youth group ministry. So, naturally, our paths crossed early on in his ministry career at the church. I was a skeptical teenager, wary and critical of new leadership.
