dating
All about dating. First dates, three years into a relationship, Tinder, and more.
Snow Snakes and Skiing
My buddy said that she is pretty and a lot of fun. He thinks we will go well together. I’m not sure, but her picture is nice, and I would like to get out and have some fun. We’ll start by hitting the ski slopes spending the day at our favorite sport and then go to the local cave for dinner, some Merlot, a warm fire and who knows where it could lead.

Young Blackbird
Light glimmered off of the glass. It was empty. Relaxation abounded. The young lady was not on time. Devo Claxton wore a camel hair jacket with a pink collared shirt and cufflinks. A white tie and tan corduroys completed the ensemble. He inhaled B12. He checked his phone. No texts or other notifications. He was like a stranger. He found himself stranded in the restaurant. He looked around at the upscale decor.

Spark
My eyes kept finding their way back to my phone to check the time as I roamed through the mall while waiting for my date. This would not be an ordinary date people are accustomed to experiencing. Despite what seemed like disapproval suffocating me from every direction from my friends and family, I had decided to try the new way to meet someone through a company called Spark. I hadn’t told a soul about my date today. The focus of Spark is on learning about the chemistry and energy exchange between two people rather than beginning dating with physical attraction through seeing each other with each other’s eyes. At Spark, two people are matched based on interests and given time to chat anonymously online before choosing to meet at one of Spark's dating centers. Once a date is set at a dating center, the two are sent to a room monitored by video surveillance for safety reasons but not audio surveillance so there is some form of privacy and the catch is they agree to be blindfolded and not allowed to remove the blindfolds during the date.

My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose
Again with the flowers? There should be a law about this. Every single time with roses. Who wrote that rule, anyway? Why ruin a perfectly good plant by taking it out of its home and – let’s be fair – killing it for some sort of mating ritual. There should be a law…

Fear of Heights
Nathan tried loosening me up by first taking me to a wine bar. I ordered the Merlot (reminding myself too much of my mother as I did so) while Nate settled for a Sprite with a splash of vodka. It wasn’t even noon, and already we were hitting the hard stuff. I should have known better before I agreed to this endeavor.

Worst First Date
I have not had much luck in the dating game lately. I have tried the dating apps. Those are the worst. I get all the luck there by luck I mean guys that text once and when you tell them your not interested they continue to send pictures and texts telling you why he would be perfect for you. I tend to be a bit particular in who I go out with. Only because I have been with the lowest of the low. From alcoholics, to drug addicts, and even one that tried to kill me. But I wouldn't change it for the world.

A Date to Remember
There I was staring at the computer screen thinking...how long do I have to endure this torture? When do I get to go home and get ready? I can't believe I have an amazing date tonight! I am so excited that I can't even do my damn stupid job! I am sitting here dreaming about going on a date, when I should be working...and I am being watched like a damn hawk by Jessica She would be my supervisor and did I mention, that she is not fond of me simply because I am great at my job, and she hates that she cannot belittle me and fail me like she does all the other telemarketers, I won't allow her too, and she hates me for it...oh and that I am a major threat to her position here. I spend 7 1/2 hours of everyday on her radar. She waits in her raised chair, watching and waiting for the day that I fail to deliver my 60 plus calls. I can easily dial and complete 66 calls per day, oh I could do more...alot more but why would I give anymore to a company that pays me literal pennies when they make millions off of me and all of my co-workers? I wouldn't because they only pay a menial $11 per hour and that barely pays my rent and bills, and everyone knows that the corporate world only sees the big picture, how much money they can make, so I moonlight on weekends as a karaoke host at the local shit...I mean watering hole and I get paid a little more than the other two hosts because I can actually sing and that draws a crowd, which incidentally is why I get weekends...and the tips are pretty good too.

The Meeting
“I’m going to do this,- she repeated to herself, - I can do this. Everything is going to be alright.” She was rushing to the meeting in the park, whit a luggage of all her phobias. Therefore, this meeting was to be considered as an accomplishment. Stella was afraid of everything – from closed spaces, spiders, silence, from places, where lots of people was gathering, from closed doors… Yes, you herd right – from closed doors. If she saw any, she just stood there for a while till she either ways were enough, or someone opened the doors for her. She could not push herself to open the doors. Just, couldn’t.
