Prince William’s associates reveal he said “That bloody woman” regarding Meghan Markle

According to The Daily Mail the future king of England made a harsh statement regarding his sister in law Meghan Markle after the funeral of his grandfather Prince Phillip. Allegedly friends of Prince William (who were naturally not named) revealed the information. These are obviously individuals that the Duke of Cambridge believed he could be honest with and trust their silence. Instead one or more of them have leaked his private conversation to the press.

Is not known in what context the words were spoken but it may have come after a discussion betterment the Royals while Harry was in England. William is supposed to have called Meghan Markle “ That bloody woman” which will be interpreted differently based on who is asked about the situation. According to Wikipedia, “Bloody,”as an adverb, that is commonly used as an expletive. It is attributive in British English, Indian English,

Irish English, Australian English, and a number of other Commonwealth nations. “ Bloody” has been used as an intensive since at least the late 1600s. An intensive is an adverb that describes the word that follows. Examples would be “ That crazy man” , or “ That grande dame.” Bloody” was considered respectable until sround 1750, and from that time was heavily tabooed until about 1920. It was considered the equivalent to profane or heavily obscene speech. Since the 1960s the word “ Bloody” has been considered as a relatively mild expletive or intensifier.

Prince William using this adverb regarding his brother’s wife will be viewed by some as harsh while others will say he meant nothing by it. From an American standpoint one might say it’s the equivalent of “ That Fuc$$n Bi&&h. No matter how you look at it if the future king uttered these words it shows he has a disdain for his sister in law. Thete are times when “ Bloody” can mean something positive but no one believes William was saying “ That great woman.”

There have been Royal watchers who suspected this was coming who have been waiting for such a comment from Prince Harry’s family. Those who thought that Prince Phillip’s funeral would heal the rift between the Royal siblings were a bit naive because there is probably too much damage that has been done. Meghan Markle is blamed for what in most cases is reactions and indifference to her because she is biracial. This was the first time a black personality had married a prince from the House of Windsor.

The Royal family may have been cordial in public to those of different races but let’s be honest. It’s very different when something like this invades your living space no matter what race you are. The Windsors may have had to begin watching their conversation when Meghan was within earshot so as not to say anything that would addendum. The Royals were called on the carpet for wondering what complexion Archie would have but African Americans discuss this all the time and not just regarding black and white.

If both parents are black but one is dark and the other very light it’s natural to wonder which complexion a baby will have. Markle being biracial has certainly dealt with this type of situation at some time in her life yet she and others behaved as if this was unheard of. The This is not to excuse those who actually are racist but to point out that curiosity is natural. To flip the coin regarding Prince William, who knows what else has been uttered in private that the press did not get a hold of?

This situation indicated that William was naive enough to speak freely in front of those he wrongly assumed would keep his confidence. Instead, someone listening was probably paid handsomely by The Daily Mail. The sons of Prince Charles and the late Princess Di have always been close but in later years Harry began spending time in Africa. There were even jokes among African Americans who said “ Harry is one of us” and a growing sentiment that he might marry a woman of color which he did.

Meghan Markle was a divorced, American, biracial actress with commoner roots. Harry loved her but in the eyes of many she was not princess material. No one knows how William or Kate really felt having to add Markle to their circle never having done so before.. This really was a big deal although the Royals attempted to downplay it. Meghan walked into a situation where William, Kate and Harry were very close and now to some she has busted the bond.

When photos surfaced of Meghan with the Queen or Kate Middleton she was dressed like a proper Royal but it did not seem to be her personal style. She appeared to be trying to fit in but Royal life did not seem to be her cup of tea. Observers also did not feel that the House of Windsor could really adjust to a woman of color in their orbit. Those who believed the rift between the princes would be healed after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex named their daughter Lillebette Diana Mountbatten Windsor were off the mark because a deeper issue is going on.

The fact that Markle is biracial overshadows her every action. Some have even said that this black woman disrupted the Royal family because Harry is now living in the United States and not carrying out the duties of a member of the House of Windsor. Brittons were angry with Wallace Simpson when Prince Edward abdicated the throne to marry her. The fact that Markle is part African American gives her an additional burden to bear.

For some Prince William’s comment will be interpreted as if his saying “That bloody woman”meant that what he was really thinking was “ That black bi$$ch.” This is the way some people think and there is nothing to be done about it. No one will ever know what was really in his heart in that moment and he may have only been saying “That irritating American”. If the sources are correct and the future king did make this statement, whatever the true interpretation, the message is clear.

William blames Meghan Markle for the rift with his brother and for Harry leaving England for the US. Having said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been candid and at times seemingly critical of the Royal Family. They cannot talk about the House of Windsor on television and expect attending a funeral or naming a baby after the Queen to fix things. The bottom line is that Harry is fiercely protective of Meghan so Royal watchers will just have to see how he responds or not to his brother’s comment. “It’s all a bloody mess.”
