Space and time for us all

Space is vast and dark

We explore the unknown stars

Seeking adventure

----------

Farewell to Earth

A new world awaits us

We hope for the best

----------

Space travel is a noble quest

To seek out new worlds and new life

To boldly go where none have gone before

To learn and grow and face the test

But space travel is also fraught with strife

With dangers, hardships, and unknowns galore

With loneliness, isolation, and boredom

With sacrifices, risks, and loss of life

Yet space travelers do not succumb

To fear or doubt or despair They persevere and overcome

With courage, faith, and care

They are the pioneers of our age They are the heroes of our stage

----------

In space, no one hears

The sound of the stars shining

Silent beauty reigns.

Space travel teaches us

To see the world with new eyes

And cherish our home.

In memory of those who soared so high

Whose courage and sacrifice we recall

We honor those who reached for the sky

And gave their lives to help us learn it all.

The crew of STS-51, brave and true

Were pioneers in space exploration

Their legacy will always live anew, A testament to human aspiration

We remember them with gratitude

For all they did to push the bounds of space

Their spirit lives on in our attitude

To reach for the stars and find our place.

So let us honor them with every flight

And keep their memory shining bright.

Just some short pieces to make you think about what we have, and how much there is to lose, if we don’t look after what we have. Remember those that have come and gone before us in our efforts along the way.

Our lives today get far too busy for every single one of us

Noisy.

Cluttered.

Distractions here, there, and everywhere we choose to turn.

But does it really have to do this to us, I ask?

Let's face it folks, let me give you a clanger of an example today.

According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary conspicuous blunder —is often used when we use the phrase 'drop a clanger!'

So, yes. I just dropped a clanger!

You see, I have been writing on the Vocal platform for the past two years so far, and today marks that day when life's many unwanted distractions simply got in the damn way!

Here it is in a haiku for you.

----------

Life is full of twists

Plans and dreams are often dashed

But hope still remains

----------

Yes, I actually forgot the one sin that only newbies should fall for when coming to hitting that 'submit' button.

I forgot the damn minimum word count of 600 here!

But I still have my integrity intact.

I still remember when honesty truly counts.

I will always be that one person in life to say:

"Life got in my way today but I am gonna bite that proverbial bullet, pick myself up, and keep on walking with my head held high ... and just keep on traveling through."

I think we all need to remember this at some time in our lives here on Earth. This next haiku from the cobwebs of my grey matter sums it up right now for me anyway:

----------

The storm may be fierce

But I will not bend or break

I stand for my dreams

----------

While we all constantly reevaluate what our lives continue to hold for us now and tomorrow, we must never forget what our pasts have presented to us whilst here upon this Earth.

Life is short.

Life is precious.

Live your life to the very fullest that you can.

Enjoy every second you are here.

Because just as those human crew members of STS-51-L thought back in that year of 1986:

Challenger disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:39hrs eastern standard time (EST) or 16:39 coordinated universal time (UTC) on 28th January 1986.

Challenger: A management failure.

They thought that they had their lives ahead of them.

Yet just 73 seconds (1 minute and 13 seconds) was all it took to take away all their hopes, dreams, and aspirations ... forever from our world.

So, do not ever let the world's challenges and problems get in the way of you living your life to its fullest.

Enjoy what you have in life.

Enjoy who is in your life.

For now, and for every day you continue to live and breathe here on of this planet Earth.

FOR TOMORROW IS NEVER PROMISED TO ANYONE.
