‘Freaky’ Review—Bloody Brilliant
Freaky Friday meets Friday the 13th in Blumhouse’s slasher comedy, Freaky. This film comes to us from Christopher Landon, the director of the two Happy Death Day films. While Happy Death Day combined the slasher genre with a Groundhog Day story, this film combines the blood-soaked adrenaline of a slasher film with the hilarity of a body swap movie.

‘Freaky’ Movie Review
Freaky is a slasher movie parody about a high school nobody named Millie (Kathryn Newton) who is stabbed by a legendary serial killer known as the Blissfield Butcher (Vince Vaughn). But, unbeknownst to both of them, the knife he uses is an ancient Aztec dagger used in blood rituals, and the enchanted blade causes them to switch bodies. Now, Millie (in the Butcher’s body) has just 24 hours to reclaim her own body and stop the Butcher from killing more people in his new disguise.

Movie Review: 'The Giant' is a Confounding Murder Mystery
The Giant is a baffling mess of arty pretension, horror imagery, and strong intentions ultimately amounting to nothing. This divisive teen horror movie has strong elements including a compelling visual style and a crime story at the heart that should help give shape to the flights of artistic fancy. Unfortunately, The Giant is so muddy, laconic and confounding that it’s difficult to surmise what the actual story of the movie is.

Recasting Wes Craven’s Scream in 2020
Scream is one of the best horror slasher films, which was directed by Wes Craven and released in the year 1996. The film was written by Kevin Williamson. In this film, David Arquette and Neve Campbell are in the lead roles and portray the characters of Dewey Riley and Sidney Prescott, respectively. The film’s story revolves around Sidney Prescott, a high school student who lives in Woodsboro, a fictional town in California. She becomes the target of Ghostface, who is a mysterious killer and wears a Halloween costume throughout the film. Various cast members have given nail-biting performances in this film, but what if Scream was to be made in 2020? Several actors have great potential to replace the old cast members of Scream in today’s date. It stars Dan Stevens (from Apostle), Alison Brie (from Born), Sheila Vand (from A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night), Toby Huss (from The Invitation) and Jeremy Allen White.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1973)
I just finished watching, for what seems to be the hundredth time in my life, the 1974 grind house mega-classic, the horrific blockbuster, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a film that has achieved a legendary cult status. It is a stark, ugly, brutal film, calling to mind that other film of the era with which it shares the most infamy--Wes Craven's social shocker cum medieval morality play Last House on the Left (1973). Both films seem, by the standard of mere "entertainment," to be grueling, morbid experiences, films calculated to bring about the most dire feelings of revulsion, if not titillation, on the part of eager but undeniably guilty viewers; morally guilty for indulging such "entertainment", but, with that same sense of morbid wonder at the graphic display of violence, sadism, mutilation and morally repugnant acts offered by each respective film. Last House is the kinkier, most sexual, most "human" and rational, if utterly grotesque and macabre, of the duo. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is, by contrast, like sticking the viewer's head in the mouth of a particularly grisly and mutated feral animal, a vomitus descent from an "idyllic summer afternoon drive" (as described by opening narrator John Larroquette) into what, indeed, is the depths of an actual cinematic nightmare; albeit, one that is based upon the real-life doings of such individuals as Ed Gein and the medieval Scottish "monster brood" known to history as the "Sawney Beane" clan. (The last inspired, incidentally, Wes Craven to later go on and make The Hills Have Eyes (1977), exploring similar themes as Texas Chainsaw.)

We will be looking at what constitutes this film to be on the list and whether I think this film deserves to be here at all. I want to make perfectly clear that I won’t be revealing details from this book such as analyses by film reporters who have written about the film in question, so if you want the book itself you’ll have to buy it. But I will be covering the book’s suggestions on which films should be your top priority. I wouldn’t doubt for a second that everyone reading this article has probably watched many of these movies anyway. But we are just here to have a bit of fun. We’re going to not just look at whether it should be on this list but we’re also going to look at why the film has such a legacy at all. Remember, this is the 2019 version of the book and so, films like “Joker” will not be featured in this book and any film that came out in 2020 (and if we get there, in 2021). Nightcrawler is one of the best thriller films released in the year 2014 and directed by Daniel Gilroy. Jake Gyllenhaal portrays the character of Louis “Lou” Bloom and gives an excellent performance in this film. According to the story of the film, Jake proves that he can do anything to become a successful man and is involved in freelance crime journalism. He records violent incidents happening late at night in Los Angeles and sells the recorded videos to the local TV news channels. Initially, this film may not have been a great success, but later it gained huge popularity. The best part of the film is the beautiful creepy performance of Jake. Several movies show excellent performances given by their protagonists. This article lists some of the best movies with terrifying protagonists to watch if you like the film Nightcrawler.

‘Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight’: Much More Than an Intriguing Title
I’ll admit it: I chose to review this movie merely because of its title. Now, I have done this before, and afterward regretted my choice (The Binding, for example). But this time, I was a lot luckier! Many are dubbing Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight Poland’s first slasher movie; I even think this is the first Polish horror movie I have ever seen. And if the Polish want to make more movies such as this one, I am all for it. Although not a masterpiece, Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight is certainly fun to watch.
