Depravity Knows No Limits
During Maggie's interview with Lucifer, Luc to his friends, in the new book The Fablecastle Chronicles, she asks for specific examples of human depravity resulting from the mutation he unleashed on Earth's inhabitants. His reply, "There is no limit to human depravity."

‘Freaky’ Review—Bloody Brilliant
Freaky Friday meets Friday the 13th in Blumhouse’s slasher comedy, Freaky. This film comes to us from Christopher Landon, the director of the two Happy Death Day films. While Happy Death Day combined the slasher genre with a Groundhog Day story, this film combines the blood-soaked adrenaline of a slasher film with the hilarity of a body swap movie.

The Field
In 1861, Aleki reluctantly joined the Union Army by the wishes of Abraham Lincoln. He took a horse from Washington DC to Virginia. When Aleki arrived he disembarked his horse, and let it run free, while he walked the rest of the way to the battlefield. He came across a foggy field, and he squinted his eyes as figures moved through the fog and disembodied screams filled the air. From the left of him, he heard footsteps and he looked out the corner of his eye to see, a young confederate soldier, who had short brown hair and blood all over his uniform that was not his own. The two men stood in silence as another disembodied scream broke it. Aleki looked to the soldier and asked slowly, “Is the battle near here?” The soldier slowly shook his head, “No, the battle is 2 miles North from here.” Aleki looked at the field and then back at the soldier, “What was that scream we heard?” The soldier was silent for a moment and he spoke solemnly, “That was the screams of fathers’ who lost their sons on this battlefield, turned grave yard.” Aleki asked, “What do you mean by that?” The soldier continued, “I was in a battalion of 30 men, and we were looking for the enemy, b-but there was also a regiment of 30 boys that came through this field as well. I-It was foggy, and we saw movement and we opened fired, and the opposing regiment fired back. When the smoke cleared, I realized that it was friendly fire and I was the only one left standing. But when I went to survey the land...” Aleki took a deep breath, and placed the palm of his hand to the bridge, “You realized that the enemy wasn’t your enemy but the regiment of boys, some of them sons of your battalion.” The soldier screamed, “I KILLED MY SON, WE KILLED OUR SONS, AND WE SCREAMED TO THE HEAVENS TO TAKE IT BACK.” He calmed down and continued, “This war has destroyed my family, and I’m only in this war because of my father’s beliefs. We are fighting for a race of people that we stole, to continue to work for us, even though they shouldn’t have been stolen in the first place. Do not let this war destroy you or your family. I hope my son forgives me.” The soldier raised his musket that was covered in blood, “ I cannot undo what I’ve done. It is etched into my soul and burned into behind my eyelids” He slammed the butt of the rifle to the dirt, and smashed his head on the bayonet of it. He fell to his knees, body twitching, and fell to the left. Aleki stared at the soldier’s body and he bowed his head, “May you and your son find peace.” Aleki walked through the fog and a few yards later he stumbled, and when he looked down their was a small hand. The sun came out from behind it’s cloudy prison and burned through some of the fog and Aleki’s eyes widened as bodies of boys with faces twisted with pain and anguish littered the field. Aleki walked over the bodies, deeper into the fog but stopped to the sound of footsteps approaching slowly, and then they sped up. He saw a shimmer of light and smiled, “Bayonet Run.” When the enemy came closer, Aleki grabbed the the bayonet with his left hand, and turned it out to the left, and he grabbed a blade from his right hip, with his right hand and slit the attacker’s throat. The sun began to burn all the fog away, and Aleki walked closer to his attaclear, and he screamed, “NOOOOO! ELIJAH WHY ARE YOU HERE?” Elijah gargled on his blood, “F-F-FATHER.” Aleki stood up and screamed in utter pain and his screams became one of the disembodied screams of fathers’ who lost their sons on that field.

The Balance of Nature
In the beginning, there was only wilderness and Man was not a part of it. In these early times, it is said, that the world was a different place. Everything that happened, any event, was part of the design to keep everything in balance. There was no good or evil, only nature and balance. If a forest became too crowded, a cleansing fire would clean out the unnecessary clutter and restore the forest. Later, Man arrived and has since tried to form his surroundings to his own needs, regardless of the consequences to the land or nature. In response to this upheaval and the imbalance it has created, nature tries to restore itself, only to be stopped by Man, as temporary as that may be.

‘Freaky’ Movie Review
Freaky is a slasher movie parody about a high school nobody named Millie (Kathryn Newton) who is stabbed by a legendary serial killer known as the Blissfield Butcher (Vince Vaughn). But, unbeknownst to both of them, the knife he uses is an ancient Aztec dagger used in blood rituals, and the enchanted blade causes them to switch bodies. Now, Millie (in the Butcher’s body) has just 24 hours to reclaim her own body and stop the Butcher from killing more people in his new disguise.

Why is Friday the 13th so unlucky?
Friday the 13th is known for being a day of bad luck and occurs at least once every year. There is even an official diagnosable phobia of the day - called paraskevidekatriaphobia. This may seem like a bit of a mouthful, but is based on the Greek words for Friday (‘paraskevi’), thirteen (‘dekatria’) and of course fear (‘phobia’).

The Alamo ghost story
The army is full of death and heartbreak it’s not surprising it has its full share of horror and ghost stories but there is a story that tells of a young soldier, and this soldier was supposedly killed inside the Alamo as the forces surrounded them the soldier and his mate readied themselves however before the two could prepare themselves for the attack the soldier had his throat slit by his mate just because in revenge for the soldier sleeping with his wife, and after killing the soldier the mate then blew his own brains out before the enemy soldiers emerged into the Alamo to find there dead bodies, and they say that both of the soldiers ghost still haunted the Alamo. And I actually got a photo of one of these spirits on camera in the background when I was taking a photo with a girl I met, her name was Saffron.

The Hume Hotel
The Hume Hotel in Nelson British Columbia is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in the city. Build-in 1898, by Fred, and Lydia Hume. Back then it was extragivant, a modern wonder, with steam heat and electricity, hundreds flocked to be part of history. Rich and poor enjoyed the ammenties provided. Some say the owners and guests have come back even after death. Over time guests have reported strange encounters, some feel as if they are being watched or followed into their rooms and down hallways when there is no one else around. Some say that the origonal owners still reside there.
