Doctor David
I have an appointment tonight. Things need to be done. Things need to be sold, paid off. I lick my lips and walk over to my ‘kitchen’ and wash off my blade. The smell of blood seeps into my clothes and nose. I dry it with a white cloth and take off all of my ‘infected’ clothes. I walk out of my infirmary, into my ventilation system and take a brisk shower. Scrubbing everything with dish soap, and making sure to get every inch of my body cleansed. I dry off, and put on new clothing.

Why Is Friday 13th Feared?
Today is Friday the 13th November, and depending on your beliefs you either didn’t notice or were acutely aware of the date looming on the calendar. The date has long been considered unlucky, with many ascribing misfortunes on the calendar rarity. Fear of Friday the 13th has produced a 19th century secret society, a bestselling novel and, of course one of the biggest horror franchises in cinema history. It’s part of pop culture, yet many people still report fear and anxiety around it. But where did this superstition begin, and what impact has it had throughout the years? Do more terrifying things actually occur on this specific day? We’re going to dive into the topic of Friday the 13th, the history and traditions surrounding the date and why it remains feared today. The number 13 has been associated with darkness and evil for centuries. Historic Christian cultures considered number 12 to represent completeness – including the 12 months of the year and the 12 days of Christmas. Other cultures also featured 12, including the 12 labors of Hercules, 12 gods of Olympus and 12 tribes of Israel. As such, number 13 symbolised something gone wrong – in the bible there were 13 guests present in the last supper, one of whom would betray Jesus. Because of the link to the last supper, it was a common superstition that 13 guests should never attend a dinner, as one would be fated to die. In 19th century America, Friday also happened to be the day on which executions took place. Friday also has biblical connotations of darkness and death. Christians believe that Jesus was killed on a Friday, and that Friday was the day Adam and Eve tasted the forbidden fruit. In the 19th century, the public began to question long held superstitions. New Yorker Captain William Fowler (1827-1897) sought to remove the enduring stigma surrounding the number 13—and particularly the unwritten rule about not having 13 guests at a dinner table—by founding an exclusive society called the Thirteen Club. The club exclusively dined on the 13th of the month, with 13 guests in attendance at Knickerbocker Cottage. Four former U.S. presidents (Chester A. Arthur, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison and Theodore Roosevelt) would join the Thirteen Club’s ranks at one time or another. In 1907 Thomas William Lawson published his novel Friday the 13th. The book told the story of a sinister stockbroker who uses public fear of the infamous date to influence Wall Street. But of course the most famous reflection in pop culture is the franchise of horror films featuring Jason Voorhees killing teenagers at Camp Crystal Lake. The first entry in the series released in 1980, and quickly became a cult classic. To this day the series is one of the most successful in movie history, spawning countless video games, comic books and costumes. Depending on how superstitious you are, you might view some tragic events occuring on Friday the 13th as indications of its unluckiness. Some would certainly argue that this is simply coincidence and that terrible events occur on many different dates. The list of incidents occuring on Friday the 13th includes German bombing of Buckingham Palace (September 1940); the murder of Kitty Genovese in Queens, New York (March 1964); a cyclone that killed more than 300,000 people in Bangladesh (November 1970); the disappearance of a Chilean Air Force plane in the Andes (October 1972); the death of rapper Tupac Shakur (September 1996) and the crash of the Costa Concordia cruise ship off the coast of Italy, which killed 30 people (January 2012).

Unwanted Party
Have you ever been invited to a party and went to a wrong address. Well I did and I ended up in the middle of a desert with this weird family because my car broke down. This all started a month ago I was in my apartment playing my game system on my day off. Then this weird kid with a butler outfit on and said I was invited to a special event only givin to people who qualified for it. I don’t know how I qualified for anything I’m a high school drop out working at a shop yard making 50k a year. But this was an opportunity to get out of the house for once so I decided to pack for a short trip. The address was encrypted and it had how to figure out what it means on the back of the letter. This party was supposed to be located in the valley of death. I know the location should be a warning but I am down for any party. As long as theirs beer and games, just skip out on the lectures and skits. But on my way their I manage to lose my GPS and got lost so I pulled off at this crumby motel. I tried to ask for directions and next thing I know I’m in this car with a family I don’t even know, because I just woke up. Yeah I might be kidnapped or just fell asleep but either way let’s see how this plays out. So far it looks like we’re going the same direction I’m supposed to be going and this weird old lady keeps staring at me licking her gums and lips. I’m trying to ignore her except it’s hard when it sound like wet ham slapping on a someone’s face to piss them off. Yeah this party better be worth it because I think I’d rather jump out right now. But then the driver said we’re almost at our destination but I don’t see anything but a whole bunch of scary dude holding bats with people laying down with blood on them. If this is the party I hope those are dolls filled with ketchup or fruit punch jello. I know I’m not filled with either of those, so if this is a party to get rid of steam on people, I’m gone. But now that we’re getting close I’ve decided I’m bailing on this party their ain’t anyway I’m getting involved with some gang problems. As soon as I step out of this door, a random group of people start chasing after me screaming like maniacs. I’ve decided to take the closest thing to me which had to be a skinny stick and swing it like a fly swatter against a wasp. All I managed to do was scrape them up. Now it’s time to run. I’ve found a car with no engine so I decided to take a tire. Now that I got a bowling tire and running pins it’s time to test my aim but I got no time. So I just threw all the tires at them after I lit them to flames. Hopefully this bought me time to get away from these people. As I continue to run further away. I found myself surrounded but steep cliffs on all directions in-front of me. The only way to be sure I’m same is to go down, their is a barn down their and I see a four wheeler. I decided to go down the cliff looking for a part I can slide down with the least risks. As I get to the bottom I hear people in the distance. As voices get louder I make my way to the four wheeler. Only to find their was no key in the starter. I run into the barn to look for the key. As I hear people coming my way I found the key under the steps in the barn. Before the door opens I jump in a hay pile. Waiting for them to go upstairs or back out so I can get to the four wheeler. Something or someone hit me, I try not to make a noise. Then someone yanks me out of the hay. Right as soon as I get out of the pile of hay. I spring myself towards the door trying to make it out alive. As soon as I hit the door I slammed it open. I dash toward the four wheeler turn it on and I hit the gas as hard as I can. This time to make sure I’m away I make a dust cloud by doing a donut in-front of the barn. I’m on my way home from this awful party. As soon as I arrive to my house theirs more invites but I’ve decided to leave them in the hall who ever wants the invites can have them. I’ll never trust a party invite from a sus looking person again.

The Curious Way of Blood
TW// Blood, Death The blood had dried in a particularly curious way. At least, that's what the huntress thought. This might be because there was blood on the other side of the tree; the part of the tree the body was nowhere near. Or maybe it was because it wasn't an animal mangled against the roots of the tree. She thought that maybe she wouldn't even be surprised if it was a human. But resting at the base of the tree, roots skewering its body was...

Bragg
NOTE: This is a FICTIONAL interpretation of the tall tales we have heard for years explaining the baseball-sized light at the end of Bragg Road near Saratoga, Texas, which is one of the most haunted places in the state. For decades, people have seen a mysterious light dancing in the darkness across the road. There have been numerous explanations and theories of what it could be including a scientific reason which claims it's simply a gaseous light from the swamp emissions. Then, there are the more supernatural explanations including a railroad worker who was beheaded in a work accident and he is searching for his head; and the honeymooning couple who was staying at the Bragg Hotel, built at the end of the road. The wife was mysteriously murdered and it is her husband still searching for her killer to this day.

A Dead's Tale
Last night I laid in my bed wide awake. It was almost 3 a.m. and I couldn’t fall asleep. It was September. The last days of September and the season hadn’t fully changed. I had the air conditioner running as well as the ceiling fan. It still wasn’t quite as comfortable as I would like it. I like the cool crisp air of the fall and often tried to recreate the nostalgic feeling I get during autumn. I tossed and turned trying to find the right position to fall asleep. I couldn’t. I laid my head in the pillow facing the window. I closed my eyes but felt the presences of someone else in the room. Yes, my wife was lying next to me fast asleep but it wasn’t her. It was a weird and unusual presence. My six-year-old son was wedged between the two of us but it wasn’t him either. I opened my eyes. I surveyed the room but saw nothing. The feeling of someone hovering over us persisted. I eased back into my spot and I tried desperately to doze off. I yawned with exhaustion. Just then, a dark figured darted across the room. I gasped. Then, he gasped. I was so shocked that he gasped, that I gasped again. I laid still, frozen, unable to move as if something was holding me firming to the bed. I recognized this as a phenomenon known as sleep paralysis. He walked over to me. I began to feel hot and clammy. He put his face close to mine. I couldn’t see any details of his face; it was as if he had no face. Then. He. Spoke. His breath was rotten. It smelled as if something died in his mouth. I held my breath he asked, “can you really see me?” his voice was childish as if he was no older than 12 or 13 years old. “Y-yes, I can see you”, I replied hesitantly. “You can see me!”, he exclaimed with glee. The ghost was excited and in a celebratory mood. I looked over at my wife and child to see if they were awakened by his shouting but they were still soundly asleep. After a moment, he asked,” are you God?” “No, I’m not God,” I replied crossly. “So how can you see me?” he asked. “Dead people are not supposed to see us, at least that’s what I was told any way,” he stated. “I’m not dead”, I bellowed crossly. “You are dead and you are in my room in my house disturbing my rest”. I didn’t know dead people were so annoying, I thought. He looked at me puzzled. “I am dead and you are alive?” he questioned. “That’s impossible. You are dead and you are in my house. My parents told me to stay away from you because if you saw me and realized that you were dead. You wouldn’t take it well.” I gazed at him. “I If I were dead and you alive, why do I have a face and you don’t have one? Confused, he looked at me and said, “Are you insane? I have a face, you don’t have a face, as a matter of fact, none of you have faces”. I couldn’t believe that I was having an argument with a ghost at 3 in the morning. I had to get some rest but he just kept pestering me. My eyes felt heavy. I had to get up to get some water but I still couldn’t move. Sleep paralysis only happens when you are sleeping so this must be a dream. A strange yet comical dream I thought. I’m not afraid of this ghost so why can’t I move I wondered. What did he do to me? As I pondered my state, the ghost was at the dresser examining himself in the mirror. He seemed uneasy and confused. “See, I told you, you don’t have a face!”, I exclaimed. “Oh, no, I have a face, you don’t have a face. I was just examining my handsome physical features. I can’t even tell if you are a man or a woman,” he quipped. I started to consider what this ghost was saying. “What if I were the dead one? What if he’s right? No, no. That can’t be,” I argued with myself. “Why can’t I move if I’m the one dead and you are alive,” I questioned dramatically. He floated across the room back and forth as if in deep thought. He stopped, looked at me then began floating again. One more thing, if I were dead, how come I can’t float across the room like you can. Why are you able to fly and I’m not?” “there, you’ve proven my point!” he exclaimed. Dead people can’t move, that’s why you can’t move, because you are dead, and dead people can’t fly,” he expressed joyfully. He was floating around the room as if he won a million dollars and I had to pay up. I looked over at the clock. It was only 3:07 a.m. it felt like a whole hour had passed. I couldn’t believe it was just a few minutes. I knew I was in the middle of a nightmare and I needed to wake up. I tried to pinch myself but my fingers and hands wouldn’t move. I could wiggle my toes but I couldn’t move my feet. I didn’t know what to do. I could move my head. My son was lying right beside me. Maybe I could head butt him to wake him up. And then this ghost would disappear I thought. As I struggled to move, the ghost seemed mused. As if he didn’t understand what I was trying to do. My wife got up, looked at the ghost and said, “Hi, Ted, would you leave my husband alone please, he has work in the morning”. She got out of bed, then walked into the master bathroom and closed the door. The ghost gave a dastardly smirk and disappeared into the floor.

Who is the scariest slasher in Cinema?
So people have probably wondered who would be the scariest serial killer in the movie world. Michael Myers, Jason, or Freedy Kruger. Because all of them have been known in the movie world for giving terror to people who watch. Now it is time to review all three of them and review the scariest between the three of them. So in this article we will compare between all three of them, and in my own personal opinion to review who is the scariest slasher.

Sometimes even the wolves are silent
I have always been curious about where it came from. The myth that wolves are drawn to howling at the full moon. Is it because wolves are more nocturnal than one might've believed? Or is it because “women of the night” in Pompeii howled like wolves when they were free for the next customer? What about us measly humans? What is it about the moon that draws us night owls to the moon to study its simple yet complicated beauty?
