Strange Connections
Hello, my name is Olivia and I’m going to tell you my story. For those who are weak hearted or do not believe that there is more beyond this life, I advise you to stop reading now. But if you’re a believer and are willing to get on board to this trip to the past, then stay with me.
Flávia Patrícia Pinto SerranoPublished 4 years ago in HorrorReed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Camp Dread' (2014)
I love the basic concept of this movie. It's like Don't Fuck In The Woods, with a myriad of strung together, fan favorite, tropes. It shows you the people making this movie were fans before they were writers and directors. Actually, a lot of the set up reminds me of Cabin in the Woods, except more of a spoof and as a reality TV show instead of an Illuminati conspiracy.
Reed AlexanderPublished 4 years ago in Horror5 Magazines Accepting Horror Short Reprints
Starting out as a dark fantasy writer myself with one self-published horror short under my belt, I just want to get some exposure. Wherever we submit our horror shorts, rejection is inevitable and writing the ideal piece for a magazine that has specific requirements and dislikes reprints takes time. All the more reason to keep our heads high as we put our completed work out there, somewhere, and keep writing. The golden rule for having your reprint published is "always check for nonexclusivity”, which means the platform will just publish it, not own it. Some platforms, however, will ask for exclusivity, especially online, for a period of time. It's understandable as to why some platforms in the horror market don’t accept reprints, but here are five magazines that respect the golden rule and want to help you out.
Kris LelielPublished 4 years ago in HorrorThe nun, conjuring and Annabelle movie timeline
These movies are connected and have at least one other movie in the universe. The main thing connecting the movies together is the Warrens. Also some of the spirits make an appearance in multiple films in the universe of the conjuring. I will also point out things you may not have known or noticed.

As the car shook, the aftershock of the door slammed ever so present. Will sat alone, hands gripping tightly on the wheel with tears threatening to spill from his eyes. Amber Jacklin, his once partner of two years, now ex, stalked down the heavily crowded street, her blonde hair shining underneath the city lights and eventually blending in with the rest of the crowd. Amber had yelled at him during and after their date at a crowded Italian restaurant. It had been an honest mistake; Will knew tiny spaces triggered his visions and dealing with people being so close....

In the morning, the sun made no attempts of shyness. Daylight poured in through Henry’s wide window, caring not about being invited. He smiled at the thought that today would be a great time to draw since his mother would not even have the chance to interrupt. Yesterday, she said she would be running errands with his father, so he understood that his older brother must have been somewhere else inside the house to look after him in the meantime. He thought his friends might have been in their own homes, too, since their dogs could be heard being quite rambunctious outside in the yard. Sometimes, Henry wished he had a sibling much closer to his age; his brother of eighteen did not like to spend so much time with him anymore, so instead he wished for a dog and was very vocal about it to his mother for quite a while. “It isn’t time yet,” she would tell him, “but as soon as you are old enough, I will get you a pet as we did with Nathan. A good pet.”

“Absolutely not,” Ursula said. “Come on,” Kyle pleaded. “I’m sick of being cooped up in here. They stood in front of the altar. “It’s too dangerous. People are looking for you. The kind of people you don’t want finding you. Besides, where would you go?”

"Did we get a name?" I asked, looking over at Evo and Freida. Both shrugged. "Wow, are we the best or what?" "Shut it, Jinx. You know Judas has that information." Shadow barked, clapping his hands to get the dust off.

I'll start off in media res. I watched Sinister last night and am about to pop on its sequel, Sinister II. And, I'll be quite honest, I don't have high expectations. I refrained from watching the first one when it came out because there was so much bloody hype around it.

The boy came to the rusty gate and could see a light inside the house. He dreaded the silhouette walking past the window. He could see that it had stopped to look out the window once he put his hand up to knock on the rusty dilapidated gate.

“The next Feat is called Devil’s Reflex. Essentially, it’s simply reacting with superhuman speed.” “Okay,” Kyle said. “How does it work?”
