“Absolutely not,” Ursula said. “Come on,” Kyle pleaded. “I’m sick of being cooped up in here. They stood in front of the altar. “It’s too dangerous. People are looking for you. The kind of people you don’t want finding you. Besides, where would you go?”

Ursula gave Kyle a small office she had converted into a bedroom. It consisted mostly of a semi-comfortable bed and a desk. Like most rooms in the church, the windows were covered with steel shutters to prevent any sunlight from getting in. An antiquated lamp on the desk was on, bathing the room in a sickly light.

Kyle slowly opened his eyes. His head spun like a Tilt-A-Whirl. His stomach churned and raged. He was on the floor of a long-since-abandoned auto garage. Carts with cobwebbed toolboxes lay here and there along with hydraulic lifts that allowed mechanics to see the undersides of vehicles.
