Top Five Scariest Mental Hospitals
Dark histories filled with brutality and mistreatment stain the earth of many mental hospitals throughout the United States. Misinformation coupled with corruption created a general misunderstanding of mental illness, and as a result, a misunderstanding of the proper procedures to administer care. Doctors and nurses subjected these mental health patients to heinous mistreatment, often times causing emotional, psychological, or physical damage far worse than what they were initially admitted for.
Larry PeemierPublished 4 years ago in HorrorWhat not to do when trapped in a Horror Movie
You knew the day was coming and now it is here. You are trapped in a danged ole horror movie. You tried to tell people this would be your fate , but they laughed and laughed and called you crazy. " Who is laughing now you thought to yourself, I told all those suckers, I would find up here, and now I am stuck in a real life horror movie." You remembered all the times you made fun of people in the horror movies you watched . Like people trying to fit in holes 4 times to small for them in order to escape. Or when the bimbo damsel in distress becomes completely naked after pricking her finger. And that is just a few examples of things you are not going to do while you are trapped in this horror movie. You decide to make a list of things you are not doing while trapped in this horror movie. I mean hell you have time the Monster or bad person is not here yet, why not make a list. So here it goes.
Adriane KirbyPublished 4 years ago in HorrorReed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Get Out' (2017)
To be blunt, I had no idea how I was gonna tackle this movie. In my review of Us (2019), I mentioned that I wasn't going to make an embarrassing attempt to 'white-splain' the ethnocentric, sociopolitical implications of the movie. By and large, one of the biggest reasons I didn't do a review of Get Out (2017), is due to the fact, that subject is unavoidable.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN Sipping on green tea, I glanced at my watch. It was after ten in the morning. I couldn’t imagine why Linda hadn’t peeked her beautiful head out by now. I knocked on her door; no answer. I wrapped my hand around the door handle, and then I paused, remembering what happened the last three times, I’d entered a room, with no answer; but, you know me!
5 Horror Movies of the 2010's That Were Better Than Expected
One major criticism of the horror genre as of late is that the genre simply isn't performing. With more blockbuster releases, and endless sequels within the same franchise, horror fans have become a bit disillusioned with the genre. Whether it's the same monsters, the same tropes, same characters, or same stories being played on repeat, it's safe to say that a lot of moviegoers go into horror films with low expectations.
Jenika EnochPublished 4 years ago in Horror"Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley
I read “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley primarily because it was on the syllabus for GCSE Literature whilst I was at school. I found it on a reading list online and thought I would spend the summer trying to understand the angles of it, even if we didn’t study it - I thought it was a good exercise in my ability to read and understand an older text. I was thirteen years’ old and it would prove one of the most intense experiences of my life. It took me only one day to read the entire book. I just could not drag myself away from these extensive narratives. Over ten years’ later when I would be in the midst of teaching this book, I found I had the same passion and the same vigour for the novel I had felt in my teen years. It made me feel almost so young again. This book would become to a thirteen year old what a best friend that accepts a freak becomes to the freak. It became a statement of power. It became to me what I had never really had too much of before - it would become my friend. Especially the Monster. The Monster would be my very best friend.
Annie KapurPublished 4 years ago in HorrorBidding Dracula Welcome
Though iconic is frequently tossed about in Film, few films truly are as iconic as Tod Browning’s 1931 version of Dracula. Nine years after the Count’s unauthorised screen debut in F.W Murnau’s legendary Nosferatu, Browning’s film established the character as a cultural icon. Consequently, Bela Lugosi’s portrayal became, to quote Angie Errigo, “the one against which all others are measured (1)”.

She awoke in the midst of a vast forest. The mist so thick with night and greenery that it actually seemed to glow in the moonlight. She had no idea how she had gotten there or why she was so battered and bruised but she knew she had to run or she would die…
My Condolences
Chapter 1 - One Life Ends, Another Struggles Jareth didn't think the day would come, not this soon at least. The young man was pale, and thinner than usual as he gazed at himself in the mirror. The goth had pulled his raven hair back into a bun, having cleanly shaved the sides of his head. Dressed in almost all black with his dress pants, boots, and a thick pea-coat with a crisp grey button down shirt underneath - he found himself on autopilot as he descended the stairs of his home. Jareth grabbed his dark umbrella and made it out quickly to his old hearse looking impala before he could get soaked by the rain.

Me having aspergris I was always the butt of jokes, and always underestimated, always put in with other people with more strong disorders and labeled the same, always thought to be the R word, but the other day I recently got my PhD in metaphysics (and I’m only 21 years old) But I must say having a doctorate in metaphysics, I started a online class to were I can help people who are developing kinetic or other psychic abilities learn to adapt with them and control them, (in addition to my new series of paranormal hunting posts on here)

Something Stirred
There is nothing in the dark that isn't there when the lights are on. ~ Rod Serling Shrubland I have wondered through the years, if that little shack is still standing... and if that "entity" is still there... whatever it was that lived there back then. I've thought about it often. It was not the kind of thing that one easily forgets. I've wondered if something like that continues to exist and to reside in a place like that. And why would it choose to stay there now?
