Pilot for Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin
The pilot episode so much happens as an OG PLL fan I felt like the writers though I am on the edge of my seat are trying to hard to surpass the original.

The Wonderful World of Studio Ghibli
As many people did, I started my studio ghibli addiction with the famous spirited away. After watching that masterpiece I was HOOKED! I had to hunt down every movie they created and watch it. The creator of most of the films Hayao Miyazaki brought a breathtaking world to our TVs. Every story is unique, and when you rewatch them another meaning comes to light. Character development is in each movie, with strong female leads. Heart-stopping art will have you want to be teleported into the wonderful world of Studio Ghibli.
Short Film Reviews: 'S' Titles
She Must Vanish: While mostly set on a beach like the one pictured above, She Must Vanish is a horror flick that's far from sunny. The film is about Mia (Anne-Carolyn Binette), a witch in a small town whose grisly agenda invokes an equally disturbing response from the townspeople. In addition to being morbid, She Must Vanish gets off to a slow start and leaves a lot of its plot points intentionally vague. Depending on your narrative preferences, you'll either enjoy the chance to fill in the blanks yourself or start pulling your hair out. Personally, the ambiguity (which manifests through the dialogue) is more frustrating than intriguing and calls attention to how bare-bones the story is. The minimalist cast gives good performances, the cinematography and sound design are appropriately spooky, and the conclusion is particularly ominous in its implications. But with the buildup to this ending being so lackluster, those good qualities can only carry the movie so far.
Trevor WellsPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Batman (1989)
Batman (1989) was the first movie I ever saw on VHS. My mom went out to get a VCR for some reason and somehow haggled the salesperson to include Batman in the deal. I remember seeing it for the first time and I was in awe. I've never seen anything like this movie let alone knew who Batman was.

I have always been a Brad Pitt admirer. I’ll go watch everything he is in just because he’s in it. That’s why I stay away from reviews until I can go see the film and review it myself. I had literally been counting the days until “Bullet Train” came out. I was very excited to see it. Unfortunately, other than Brad’s humor and the movie soundtrack, the film lacked a strong story line. Writers Zak Olkewicz and Kotaro Isaka made a good attempt at the story but it was a bit cheesy. There was a lot of action, quite bloody so if you have a weak stomach you may not like this film. I found myself closing my eyes a few times because there was just so much blood. This film had a “Murder On The Orient Express” feel with a dash of a cartoonish background. Kudos to the special effects team, the effects were really good.
Sue McGaugheyPublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "The Magnificent Seven (2016)
The Magnificent Seven (2016) was the modern update I didn't think I wanted. Technically it's still not what I want but I can see what they did right with this one. There is an older version of this movie that came out in 1960 and I think I saw that one when I was younger. Ultimately it's a retread of the Seven Samurai (1954). That was a classic that I've grown to become too impatient for.

Scarred is the second book to the Never After series by Emily McIntire, but it does not have to be read in order. Each book is inspired by a fairytale, this one being inspired by The Lion King.
Devon ReneePublished 2 years ago in GeeksMy Review of "Prey"
Prey is a new Predator movie that is only available through streaming. Currently it is available for Disney Plus. There wasn't much promotion of this movie but I think there should have been. The epic nature of the film really calls for a theatrical release but unfortunately it didn't get one. I for one would still go to the theatre to watch this despite having already seen it on streaming.

The Orville: Season 3 has finally dropped on Disney Plus for streaming. I was really worried that this series had been cancelled. There wasn't much word of this TV show shortly after the pandemic and I thought it was cancelled. Low and behold this beautiful season was finally released and it was so much fun.

Bullet Train is a new blockbuster movie that came out in 2022. The best way to describe it is a mystery action film. Don't pay too much attention to details and you will be able to have fun with this movie. However it isn't with its shortcomings either. For cinephiles out there, you'll recognize a lot of movies this movie takes inspiration from.
Brian AnonymousPublished 2 years ago in GeeksFilm Review: Elvis
Before I talk about the film, I want to mention that I spent a lot of time with my grandad growing up. He is now eighty-three and much to my heart-ache did not want to come to the cinema with me to see this biopic with me due to the news that he watches four times a day, terrifying him, about Covid-19 cases, monkey-pox, muggers, murderers and generally saying what a scary place the world is.
