Why Doraemon Never Let Nobita Get Rich
When I was a kid, I couldn’t understand why Doraemon didn’t just fix Nobita’s life. Anywhere Door. Time Machine. If Phone Booth. Dictator Button. Shrink Ray. Bamboo Copter. Life Reset Machine. Devil’s Passport. Time-Stop Watch. Any one of them could turn a loser into a billionaire overnight.

What to Watch This Week: Nine Stories About People Who Keep Going
I started the week with a funeral. River Cartwright stands in the rain, burying his grandfather, and who shows up but his father—a mercenary, a ghost, a man who should not be there. That scene from Slow Horses Season 6 set the tone for everything else I watched over the next few days. Not because the shows were all grim, but because they all circled the same question: what do you do when the system has erased you, when the past will not stay buried, when the only way forward is to keep moving even though you have no idea where you are going?
