science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.

They say that nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space... but it isn't true. Ben’s scream set my heart racing when it came over the comms in my spacesuit. We were tasked to fix a faulty antenna, so we were working like we always do, shooting the shit, when a fucking mike tore through him. Oh, I should explain. A "mike" is short for micro-meteorite, it's like hypersonic bullet from a rail gun, traveling at over 20,000 mile per hour. And a "big mike" was anything larger than a speck of dust that could leave a hole in the hull. Or you. If it was really big, something with so much kinetic energy that it could destroy part of the station, someone would usually yell, "it's a fucking Tyson!" – after a boxer from a hundred years ago, who could flatten a guy with a single knock out punch. And then bite off his ear for a snack.

What will the future bring
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I sat there contemplating that as I stared out the observatory window, my thoughts flowing like subsonic waves, bouncing off whatever they could find. I felt like screaming, and I wondered if anyone would hear me in the blankness of space because I dared not do so in the observatory. I dare not even whisper, as it was not allowed during mandatory quiet time. I wanted to find an answer to the current predicament I was in. I knew I was up for the my second Decision Making process. It would determine what my next career path would be for my middle age years.

Giant Leaps
Chapter One “Nobody can hear you scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say.” The sharply dressed news woman’s voice comes across the news feeds. Across the globe men, women and children stop to listen. “I am Samantha Gibson. Thank you for joining us today on the 23rd of August 2074 for a special edition of World Headline News. Today is a special day. Not just for one country, or one group of people. This is a momentous day for all of humanity. In a few short minutes, we will make our first steps onto the Galactic stage,”

Ad Astra Per Aspera 2
I look down at the battered and bloodied M90. Surprisingly metal rifles weren't all that durable. After about 440 sum rounds, I caught a double feed. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to clear it, so I decided to use it as a Louisville slugger instead and either beat my enemy to death or get beaten to death. I toss the rifle to the side and collapse exhaustedly against one of the native lifeforms' lifeless carcasses. I still had the 7.57 Signa Sidearms on both my hips and had yet to use them. I would probably regret it, but I decided to bring the Rocket Launcher, and Chain gun. I highly doubted two 7.57-millimeter rounds would do anything if I ran into anymore of the serpentine like creatures that littered the desert area around me.

FARAN
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Amara didn't let the thought keep her from screaming all the same. She screamed and pleaded, she begged and cried, for what seemed like, forever. Her mind flying through thoughts and scenarios, grasping at this and that, she was flooded with emotions and terrified of what was to become of her now.

Space Exploration
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. You have always heard this saying because your mother is a scientist studying space and your father is an astronaut. Your parents gave you your love of space. From a young age you have been consuming all the info you can about space. You have also been studying to be a scientist. You had the little science kits and as you entered your early teens you would read whole science textbooks. You have always wondered if you can hear a scream in space and the science behind it.

Synchrony
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But that's a lie. Since the day I lost my wife, I still hear the sound of her screams as she died, echoing through the atmosphere and into my ears. Ears that now, I adorn with the white glönntas ear ornaments she wore on her first voyage. I can hear her now, telling me emphatically about my purpose; that my hands were made to “carve stars in the sky”, my eyes made to “see the light in every universal soul” and my heart made to “discover a new reason to live, and then perish with dignity”. She believed in each of our people’s tenements in a way that not even I do now.
