“Hey puppy! Whatcha got there for me? Huh bud?” My dog ran up to me excitedly, with something in his mouth. He dropped the item on my lap and stared at me, his long tail wagging vigorously, and saliva dripping down his exposed tongue. My eyes widened when I looked down and realized what was laid out before me. My homework. “No no no no no this can’t be happening! Flash, this took me 3 hours to finish!” I yelled furiously. I got up from my bed and started to pace around my room nervously. I held my homework in my hands, or what’s left of it. I sighed. How am I supposed to turn this in? Just when I got the tiniest idea in my head, Flash took the rest of my homework from me. “No! Bad! Bad dog!” I tried to pry his mouth open but it was too late. He had ingested it before I got the chance to take it back from him. Perfect! Just absolutely perfect! Now I don’t even have proof that I completed the assignment.

One fine day in the Shoal, the waiting space between worlds, the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone were discussing the topic of love over wine. Once upon a journey on that very same day, a masked traveler met the Fates, the trinity of witches resting on the side of a dusty road, enjoying cups of wine, the kind of rare vintage that only time could make. Interested in their discussion, the traveler who was an Owl Mage asked the three what they thought love was, if it could be summed up in just one word.

“Things are changing." The Wood Elf prince, who would eventually lose his crown to call himself Puck, smiled politely at the forest ghost, amused by its warning. The Dead were vague little things really, though there were those who thought the dearly departed were full of great and terrible knowledge. That they were permanently linked to visions of the past, or of the future, possibly both.

Of all the unlikely places to go, the old forgotten pumpkin patch that bordered the woods by her home was one of Madeline’s favorites. Overgrown and neglected in most places, the little girl especially loved it during the fall when the sky stayed permanently overcast, and the weather was cool to the touch morning, noon, and night. It was the time of year when Madeline felt the most alive.

is said that Jarasandha climbed Mathura 18 times to kill Krishna. 17 times he failed. In the final ascent, he also inspired an alien powerful ruler Kalayavan to invade Mathura. Kalayavan's army surrounded Mathura. He sent a message to the King of Mathura and gave a day for the war. Sri Krishna sent reply that the war should only be in Krishna and Kalayavan, why fight the army in vain? Kalayavan accepted. Under this policy, Sri Krishna left Ran's land and fled, so Kalayavan also ran after him. While running, Krishna went into a cave. Kalayavan also entered there itself. Kalayavan saw another man sleeping in the cave. Kalayavan considered him Krishna and kicked him tightly and the man got up. As soon as he opened his eyes and started looking around, then he saw Kalayavan in front. Kalayavan was instantly burned by his sight. “Who’s the new meat?” The group sitting at the table glared in unison at Malone and his guest, the two quite mismatched in appearance despite their shared company. Malone was older, the dapper Italian gentleman with tanned olive skin and a flashy smile was dressed fairly well in a tailored, dark blue three piece suit and tie. His articles of writing tended to get published more often than the rest gathered here so he had the money to spend on the nicer things in life. In keeping up with appearances and the latest fashions, a constant paycheck is a must.

Rose was minding her own business, which was to say she was being the responsible one. She was actually minding the business of the Hodge Podge because someone had to from time to time since they were still missing their third. Rose found her reading interrupted though when something viciously blue and bubbling was shoved under her nose by a very enthusiastic fire witch.

The internet has become so ubiquitous that even the word seems to be antiquated: no one really uses it anymore. We will ask each other for wifi or complain about lack of data but rarely do we think of the internet as it’s own entity, we feel it is too intrinsic to our lives for that, and our language demonstrates that. Soon we may never even refer to the internet and perhaps only talk about “speed”, which leads us to ask: What are we becoming?

The notion that a physical effect necessitates its own physical cause seems to me to be a typically erroneous human assumption, comparable to say, the assumption that self-awareness is but an illusion caused by the material substrates of the brain: if such an illusion is only rooted in the physical dimension, what then, is an illusory experience if not a metaphysical one?
