I had zero confidence looking for work.I thought no one would hire me. I was told by my mother at the age of 16 " You don't need a job , you need to focus on your studies". The most idiotic advice ever. I was jealous of the teenagers in my grade working at Mc Donalds or any fast food chain. My dad said i would get sacked from every job. Pretty ableist and rude of him anyways. I find my mums advice idiotic because working from a young age gives people wisdom and knowledge to work in other jobs as teenagers leave school.

My parents disagreeing over things affected my wellbeing as a teenager. I did not know which values to align to. My parents had 2 different upbringings. I am not on either side but i can speak from experience.I believed that my dad wanted hard work with tough discipline. My dad's family did not have much money when growing up in Ireland and my dad had to find work outside the country. Early parental death and abandonment happened in my dad's family with his parents and grandparents. His mum's parents died pretty early and his dad's parents left their older sons in Ireland with my dad's great grandparents.

My mum grew up in suburban Australia and both her parents had stable jobs.My Grandma Robertson she grew up in the country with a long line of English and Scottish ancestors.

My mum brought me up in the wrong ways. Because when parents give you the wrong advice it causes chaos. I was venting out to a lady at a healthy cafe and her name is Heidi.I told her the advice my mum gave me and i said it's really a bad idea because you end up asking you parents for money and it causes ugly fights. You can make some income when you are studying of course at least it's not too much hours.

Battling depression is not easy and transferring to adulthood was not easy because my mum gave me the wrong advice about money matters and earning it via hard work. I wanted to go to university and my dad was pissed about mum and i fighting. But she should have thought of my feelings and understood my feelings that i was allowed to work when i was at uni. The fighting became too much for me to handle and i started to feel depressed and unhappy under my mum's roof. I did a business services course. I have done the business studies course last year.

I don't even understand why mum kept encouraging me to the course as jobs in the corporate world require telephones in most admin roles and it's very hard for deaf people to enrol in.I tried applying for jobs but i knew with my gut feeling it was not going to work. I messed up a few times in my early adulthood.

I landed many casual shifts in disability work and hospitality. But the money did not help me in the long term. The corporate world does not help anyone find a stable income if it's casual hours.I felt underemployed and not appreciated enough in the workplace. The corporate world does not value everyone.

A course does not promise you a full time job such as a university degree or a TAFE diploma that is so expensive.Especially people who are disabled and they have to try twice as hard to be valued in the workplace.

I did Only Fans for a month but when i did it It was psychologically challenging on me. When i started i felt so anxious because i was making an income from Only Fans.I started crying at the gym and i lost interest going into the gym. It was against my mum's wishes.I wanted to make my own money as being under employed was not bringing enough money in my bank account in order not to rely on my parents after i pay my mum a lot of money out of my disability allowance. I felt it wasn't fair because she earns more money than me and she should help me save up for an expensive course or set up a business that i don't have to rely on the toxic disability allowance.

I was getting so much hate for joining the platform. A man called David.G made derided of me for joining the platform and made me look like an idiot for joining OnlyFans because it's so dangerous because of stalkers and evil men who want to use your naughty images for revenge porn purposes.I knew the risks before starting because i love reading articles on the internet. Sure there is some risks doing it online but doing sex work in person increases the risk of the sex worker falling victim to fare more serious crimes such as rape and murder.

Also, sex workers do not trust the police because they have been advocating for many years in Australia to not to have the industry criminalised because they want the police to be on their side and report sexual crimes without the fear of being arrested. They are also worried about the working conditions if strict restrictions are imposed if sex work is legal but heavily regulated. They treat sex workers like criminals, they should treat the bad clients like criminals such as:

-trying to give or inject drugs to a sex worker. A 39 year old escort in the US told a woman on a podcast that she had a scary client who attempted to insert illegal drugs in her body. She does not want to face scary client. She wants safe escort work without the drugs. Also if they are under the influence of illegal drugs they cannot consent and they may get hooked to the illegal drugs. This causes a toxic cycle of substance abuse.

- offering illegal drugs as payment is a big no no. Money must be a payment.

- fraud the sex worker and not paying the sex worker because sex worker need to support their costs of living. This is a form of rape in sex work because they do not show off their bodies for free.

- mix alcohol with sexual activity because the sex worker did not consent to the activity to happen at all.

- When a sex worker says that she does not offer a certain sexual act but you go on and rape her for anal sex. For example a sex worker does not offer anal sex but you end up raping the client and refuse to stop. Rape does happen when you do penis in vagina sex. It was agreed but you do not stop when she asks you to do so.

Because there is nothing wrong with two adults consenting to a sexual act and a good male client appreciating you meeting his sexual needs. But when it comes to bad clients that needs to be criminalised as there is not need to arrest a sex worker who has done an agreement with the client and the client was okay to work with. Bad clients need to be arrested and take accountability.

Escorts need to screen their clients. Some don't know how and it may put them in high risk situations. They should know the risks before starting.

There is pros and cons working as an escort.

The pros

- explore your sexuality and your sexual desires before you quit the industry

- men who are good clients teach you the way a healthy sexual relationship is if you find a partner in your personal life.

- Allowing male voices to be heard as good clients who pay upfront may be unhappy in their relationships or their marriages because they don't get heard. Wives may be in the marriage for money but they don't give enough attention to their partner's sexual desires or try new things in the bedroom. Or disagreements in the relationship that does not allow the couple to have much intimacy and they may crave the intimacy somewhere.

- understand how men behave and act towards you. Understand the mind of a man

- supports your cost of living and your financial security

- you may have more privacy if your face is blurred out on escort sites and you don't ask clients to take photos of you or videos in order to protect you safety and in order to avoid any ramifications with your family or in your personal life. It's more private than working on Only Fans and everyone knowing about your Only Fans on social media. Then receiving so much hate for doing Only Fans.

- Working in NSW and the NT can allow you to work in safer working conditions that are not criminalised.

Cons:

- It's more dangerous than Only Fans and Cam girl work

- men are unpredictable sometimes it's hard to predict what will go wrong if you are a newly experienced escort. If you have worked as an escort for a while you can pick up the vibes more easily because of a previous situation

- men can change their names if you ask for screening checks

- Sex work is legal in Queensland and Victoria. But the law in Queensland has a lot of strict restrictions on sex workers such as not allowing sex work to text each other when a client arrives or leave. They are not allowed to work in pairs or not allowed to share the same driver at work. The law makes it difficult for sex workers to work safely and it's like other industries that need WHS regulations. Why make it legal but make a lot of sexist restrictions on what women can't do in the sex industry in order to be safe.

- the morally corrupt police powers in Queensland can annoy sex workers because police can do entrapment to encourage sex workers to do illegal acts such as not using a condom.

Some may of started because they found it hard to find work in the corporate world , or do not want to rely on their families for money. Poverty is one thing. But i think some people do sex work for the wrong reasons is to support an illegal drug habit. It should be for genuine reasons.

I was talking to queer psychic and he has experience in the industry but i would prefer to work online instead in person sex work because the risks are far greater. He's a queer male but is more higher gender risk involved for female sex workers. He told me to make my own judgement but i do not want to do any arrangements with other men besides 'Matt' because i will be anxious not knowing if i will be safe or not. I would prefer to work OnlyFans if the income i get from corporate jobs do not make the cut. As it's more safer in some ways. But if i work in the corporate world full time the risk of my co workers finding via my instagram is risky as we may get to know each over time and it may ruin my career.

I found my passion for the law after going through a nasty legal battle with my ex housemate. She was so nasty. I am passionate about changing the law. I have done my Cert IV in crime and justice studies. But i am wanting to become a paralegal. I am anxious because i am worried about finding work and courses give me no promise of a stable job in that area.

Let's see what happens.
