However, there are a few don’t that you should know as well. And, below you will find all the do’s and don'ts related to castor oil and olive oil. So, read this post carefully.

Coming back to topic, here are all the do's and dont's about castor oil that you should know:

Don’t store it for too long:

One of the most important things to keep in mind when you buy Olive oil is not storing it for a very long period. Olive oil is expensive compared to other kinds of oils, but you can still not store it for a long time. Once the oil is extracted and stored in a bottle, it comes with a life of one to three years. After you open the bottle, you should finish it within 30 days to 60 days; otherwise, it will go bad.

Do get small tins:

Many people have a habit of buying large tins of Olive oil to save a few bucks. But like we already discussed, you should use the open can in 30 to 60 days. When you are not, then the oil gets exposed to oxygen, and oxidation occurs. That means the flavor of your oil keeps changing. That means it is always good to get a small tin of Olive oil so that you can use it off within 60 days.

Don’t use for deep frying:

Usually, many of us use Olive oil for cooking, but that is not the right way to use it. It is good if you keep it to just dressing on salads. When the temperature goes beyond 80 degrees C, the oil starts to break. Eating food cooked in this kind of oil is unhealthy. You will not be able to enjoy the healthy benefits of Olive oil. You should always try to use an oil that is suitable for deep frying and shallow frying. If you still want to use Olive oil, try to maintain the temperature below 160 degrees C.

Don’t leave it exposed to light:

Exposing Olive oil to direct sunlight or too much heat can deteriorate the quality of the oil. Many people have the habit of leaving it outside. You should always make sure that you store it in a cool and dark place to avoid any problems. If possible, go for an Olive oil bottle that comes in a dark-colored glass bottle.

Apart from that, you should also read all the instructions and ingredients listed on the Olive oil can or bottle to understand the oil's right use. That will help you better with the do’s and don’t’s with olive oil.
