Instructions:

1. In a large skillet, cook the ground pork or chicken over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

3. Add the cooked pork or chicken back to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

4. Allow the filling to cool slightly.

5. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the wrapper.

6. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper up to cover the filling. Fold the sides in towards the center. Roll the wrapper up tightly towards the remaining corner, sealing the edge with a little bit of the beaten egg.

7. Repeat with the remaining egg roll wrappers and filling.

8. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium-high heat. Carefully place the egg rolls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

9. Remove the egg rolls from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce. Enjoy!
