Celery is a vegetable in the Apiaceae family, which I can say is one of my favorites.

Celery has so many benefits but I won't be itemizing them all now. How about you google it and learn all the benefits of celery?

I have 4 celery recipes for you that you can probably prepare in less than an hour. Hope you like the tastes and have fun while cooking.

Recipe 1: Muffin with Celery

I could say that I have the best muffin recipe ever, which goes with every single ingredient. You can use the first 6 ingredients for every kind of muffin for sweet or salty recipes it doesn't matter.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of semi-skimmed milk
  • ⅔ cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 package of vanilla
  • 1 package of baking powder
  • 2.5 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tablespoon of black quinoa (on request)
  • 3 slices of halloumi

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
  • Cut all the ingredients into small pieces and mix them in a bowl with black quinoa.
  • In a large bowl whisk the eggs
  • Add milk and butter and continue whisking
  • Add flour, baking powder and vanilla to the mixture and whisk a couple of more minutes.
  • Add all the other ingredients and mix the mixture with a spoon
  • Place the mixture into muffin cups (be sure to not fill the cups completely)
  • Finally put the filled muffin cups in the oven for about 15 minutes
  • And your muffins are ready to eat!

Recipe 2: Winter Soup with Celery

If you are a summer person like me you probably hate winter colds. So the best way to handle cold weather would be a delicious soup for sure!

Let’s give a chance for this easy to make and delicious green winter soup.

Ingredients:

  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 leaf of spinach or 1 cube of frozen spinach
  • 1 leaf chard
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 small carrot
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of black quinoa (on request)
  • Boiling water

Method:

  • Chop all the ingredients
  • Peel the zucchini
  • Cook the cut ingredients in olive oil for 5 minutes
  • Add the spices, quinoa and water on it and let it boil
  • After boiling, continue cooking on low heat for 15 minutes
  • After your soup is ready, mix it with the hand blender
  • Winter soup with celery is now ready to serve

Recipe 3: All Green Smoothie

Who says smoothies can only made with fruit ingredients? You should give it a try for a green smoothie based with celery.

You can make a smoothie with a blender but if you would like to make smoothies daily I prefer you to buy Nutribullet. It could be the best blender that exists. You don’t need to chop the ingredients just cut them in half. And the cleaning! You only need to put the cup and the blade under the water for about 10 seconds and you’re done. It's all clean now.

Ingredients:

  • 1 stalk celery
  • ½ green apple
  • ½ kiwi
  • 6 to 8 walnuts
  • ½ cup of water
  • ½ lime

Method:

Put all the ingredients into your Nutribullet or blender and mix them for about 15 seconds. If you would like a sweet taste you can add half tablespoon raw honey to your mixture.

It's done you can enjoy your 'All Green Smoothie' now.
