Graduation Nightmare
For many years, I've tried to write a book. My life has been a series of disasters from the beginning and I have a hard time talking about it, because it seems like fiction or something. I could never make up any of this stuff but I admit it is all quite odd. Also, I can never figure out where to begin. The beginning started before I was born, and there were a lot of things I didn't know until two years ago. So, I'll start in the middle.

Dr. Seuss and Me
I can remember wanting to be able to read at the age of two as I gazed longingly at the bookshelf in our living room. Watching my mother's face as she read the books in the small library she owned courtesy of The Doubleday Book Club inspired me to emulate her and learn to read books. Whatever was contained in those mysterious tomes moved her to make faces that revealed both her interest and the emotions the words evoked within her. My mother looked so elegantly, beautiful as she sat quietly reading her beloved stories.

Misery Loves Company
At 28 I never thought that I would be where I am today. Living back at my grandmother's house with my husband and my daughter. It definitely isn't an ideal situation especially since my grandmother is in her 80's. As of late, she has become a little forgetful. Our conversations have gotten quite entertaining because of her forgetfulness.

You Cannot Attend Everything...
I am going to let you all in on a deep secret that I either hinted or just probably mentioned in one of my earlier blogs, but here it goes. I sadly could not attend my own mother’s funeral. To this very day, it is something that bothers me on so many levels since she was my only mother.

I found my father after 23 years.
The last memory I had of my father is a blurr. We were celebrating someones birthday. There was food, drinks and some cake. While I was hypnotized by the cake I was also being cuddle by my father. He had his arm around my neck and while he didnt notice because he was drunk, he was squeezing my neck too hard. I didnt care because although I was a child, I knew he was going to leave and I didnt know when he was going to come back or if he was going to come back at all. For most of my life I grew up thinking he had abandoned my mother, my brother and myself, Until recently.

How Did I Get Here?
At 56 years of age, divorced three times, two of them from the same person, yes I married my abusive-second husband twice, no savings, no formal education, unemployed, with a very dismal outlook on my future, the only fitting question is, how the hell did I get here?
