Tom Hardy shits himself in this movie. Twice. And that's all you need to know.
Recently a Quora user inquired if real-life criminals might hold intellectual interests similar to Vincent Vega's? As you may recall, Vega, the hitman played by John Travolta in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, certainly had some interesting conversations with his partner Jules (played by Samuel L. Jackson). But classifying feet tickling and cheeseburgers as intellectual interests? That seems like a stretch.
Riveted to the screen at 12am, I watched as men were pitted against men in a bid for survival. Slabs of concrete with a hole in them and one platform, from which men took fistfuls of food and shoved them down the throat. The setting was jarring and creepy.
For over 100 years the mystery of Jack the Ripper has fascinated millions. How could a man brutally murder 5 women and get away with it? Was it a lone psychopath, or a conspiracy among many men? The Hughes Brothers’ 2002 film, From Hell, offers its own controversial theory. And a very entertaining theory it is, even if it's not entirely historically factual.
Destin Daniel Cretton is a filmmaker of subtlety and style. His Short Term 12 is a low key masterpiece about the issue of adoption, abuse and what happens to older kids lost in a system out of their control. Cretton followed that up with bold box office failure of The Glass Castle, a quite good drama that was unfortunately too drab in its approach to material people absolutely adored in Jeannette Walls’ wonderfully confessional life story.
I honestly didn't know much about the 1977 movie Smokey and the Bandit before I watched it. It's a classic movie so I've heard of the title before but didn't really know what it was about. Seeing as it's such an old movie I thought it would be outdated and I wouldn't be able to enjoy it but I've been proven wrong many times. A good movie is a good movie regardless of its age.
Never be afraid to speak out.
Today I'm going to discuss what is ethically wrong in the movie “The brave one” with Jodie Foster. First, I will do it in a small summary format so you as the reader will understand what the movie is about. Before I start I want to point out that the whole movie was very dry to my taste and Jodie Foster carried this movie. She was playing incredibly well, when other actors were playing their roles pretty weak and poorly.
